We stayed here in a recent trip and absolutely loved it, definitely one we would go back to. It was just brilliant, the lady at check in was so helpful and we were so lucky to get into a room considering it was only 11am ! It certainly let us get unpacked and make the most of the day. The room was clean and comfortable and we heard very little noise, despite the hotel being busy. Location was brilliant, choice of shuttle, water taxi or a short walk to the parks and city walk, great thing about any of these is they save you standing in huge queues for security and bag check upon entering city walk, major bonus, believe me. We are at the Strong Water Tavern a couple of times and thought it was so good, Jason was great with advice on different dishes and drinks. We also booked a poolside cabana for a day, great fun and a bit of luxury. We were so looked after by John, he was so friendly and chatty. We kept hearing the saying, " relax, you are in island time now" , it was certainly how we felt. We certainly look forward to staying here in the future.
Can't beat this place! Comparable to Hard Rock at fraction of cost. No express tickets, but we go off season and lines are low wait anyway. Highly recommend if you don't need express tickets. Location is great too! Boat ride or walkway to the parks including Volcano Bay!
A great hotel & an excellent location
I recently visited the Sapphire Falls resort as part of a work trip to Orlando & really enjoyed my stay. Each & every member of staff that I encountered was welcoming, friendly & delivered service with a smile. They were very accommodating & even helped me with requests for band-aids & antibacterial ointment on a couple of occasions, which was greatly appreciated. My room was clean, bright, spacious & comfortable, with two beds, a large TV & powerful shower. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas & had great facilities, including a large pool area, a well-equipped gym (open daily from 5am) & a number of different dining locations. The Amatista Cookhouse on floor 2 serves a tasty Caribbean-inspired menu (with a couple of vegan-friendly options) & The Dutch Trading Co on floor 4 in the lobby area is useful for grabbing a quick drink/snack to go. Although they are both on the expensive side, their prices are fairly normal for the Universal area, particularly given that they are within a hotels. Although I visited for business, the hotel is excellently placed for Universal & within easy walking distance (or a pleasant water taxi or quick shuttle bus ride) from the Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure parks, as well as Universal CityWalk & all the shops/restaurants within. Overall, a great choice overall & highly recommended.
Parking is a ridiculous
Booked this resort due to proximity to parks. Had a free parking discount at checking. Not only were we charged for parking but we also had to use a credit card to get out of the structure. Our key did not work. So, i paid $80 for ONE night of parking at this resort. Beware!
Very friendly and welcoming hotel
It’s was a great time with friends and this hotel sure had much to offer. Room was clean with the exception that our mini fridge was broken. However location was ideal and I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
