I spent some time saving money for this trip and it was totally worth it! The hotel has a beautiful design, was supper clean, staff was friendly and the amenities that it offers are completely above some one's expectations. The room was also very clean (I always base the cleanliness of the carpets on how dirty the soles of my kids feet get), and the beds were comfortable. The restaurants are not over priced and the pool was very enjoyable.
Nice but small and expensive
The hotel is very clean but the rooms are small. No housekeeping during Covid but we were not informed of this or offered the traditional discount. Rooms were small but bed was very comfortable. Nice to get early park hours but it pretty much took that hour to get in to the park. Stayed here because of how close it is, walking distance, to the parks and the included Express Pass which is the only way to do Universal right now. Cut our wait times way down. Parking is way too expensive to be just an open parking lot and no covered deck or gate security.

As for the hotel, great location, 2 stars for that. However, day 2 we were brought dirty towels; multiple times, they drop them at the door folded nicely and in a white plastic bag. they were visibly dirty not even sure how they missed it. Day 2 we also asked for an extra blanket for our kids, the one they brought to us had red stains on one corner and holes in it, more of a rag than a blanket. Called and let them know about the dirty towels and blanket, they apologized and issued a $50 credit ... assured us they would send the housekeeping manager up with a clean blanket right away, and they did. after coming back from the park there was another blanket and towels that were delivered, (we didn’t ask for this one but ok...) I took the “new” blanket out of the bag and placed it in the bed to cover my kiddos, this one was even dirtier than the first one we had! dark oil like stains ALL over it and holes in it. I called to let them know again they offered a weak apology after a long drawn out silence... said “we will bring another one right away” at that point I felt grossed out. I told them not to worry about it. It was almost insulting. A joke really. I’ve never had dirty towels and blankets delivered from any hotel, ever. We Just felt everything was dirty the whole time after that. Happy to be heading home !
Spring Break March 2021 ~ 2nd Stay ~ Love This Hotel ~ Convenient Oasis from Parks
My teenage kids and I spent one night at the Royal Pacific over Spring Break in order to get Express Passes for two days in the parks. The Express Passes are a tremendous benefit of staying here. Since we traveled during a peak Spring Break week (as in parks reaching capacity), I am 100% positive that our trip to Universal would have been not great without those passes. We were able to check-in at 6:15 am and our room was actually ready for us. I booked it on Universal's site directly. I parked our rental car in the lot (which had plenty of space - I was worried about that after reading some reviews) and the charge was simply billed to our room. I just had to scan our room key to get out at the end of our stay. One thing I will note, the line was long to check in and it appeared to be this way every time I walked through the lobby. A few more people working the front desk would be a good idea. All communications, information and answers to questions were done via text message and this worked out extremely well for us. All messages were prompt, professional and friendly. Our room was very clean, well-appointed and had been updated since the last time we stayed here about 5 years ago. The bathroom was especially clean and had plenty of towels and nice toiletries. We were at the end of a long hallway, so it was extremely quiet and we never saw any garbage or dirty towels/linens in the hallway. We used both the walking path and the boat to the parks multiple times and thought both were convenient and quick (and nice to have your temperature checked and go through security at the hotel). For us, the boat vs. walking always came down to - would you rather stand and wait for the boat or would you rather just walk? I think they took the same amount of time and we never ran into a long security line on the walking path. So, stand or walk? For my tall, fit, teenage boys, I think they would have walked every time, but I insisted on taking the boat a couple of times just to get a break from all of the walking in the parks from open to close with them. Plus, the boat ride is nice and relaxing! This was our second visit to this hotel (the first was a multi-day trip) and I would most certainly stay here again. I paid over $600/night which is pricey for sure. For the Express Passes (two full days), parking ($29/night, so for two full days) and convenient location to the parks, I found the cost to be worth it, especially considering it was Spring Break. The lobby is a tranquil, calming oasis from the parks and it smells great too!
The location of the hotel is perfect. Only 9 minutes walk to the City Walk. Beds were very comfortable. Only thing we didn’t like was the food at the property. Not many entries on the menu at the hotel’s restaurant.
