We did Disney a few months ago for the first time. This time just Universal. Universal blew Disney out of the water. No lines we had to wait in, no reservations to keep up with, went at our own pace and just enjoyed all of it.
I would try another university studio hotel
Stayed here for 4 nights, and let’s say I expected more from them at this price range. We were assigned to a room in Tower 2, despite a lot of people complaining about it, I find it pretty convenient and quiet. The room is clean and spacious, but obviously need some remodeling. The bottom seal of our shower door is broken and disgustingly with mold on it, it made a loud noise every time when we close it. It is kinda inconvenient as it kind of makes you think that the door might be broken too with that noise. But if we don’t completely close it, the water will leak out. Also, the light at the entrance is also not working. And the worst part is the toilet water tank keeps running itself and it’s loud which disturbs our sleep. The staffs are friendly and efficient, and the express pass to the park is a big plus. But base on my entire experience, I think I will try another premier Universal Studio hotel next time.
I was beyond thrilled when we got upgraded to this resort! We had originally booked with Sapphire Falls, and since I believe they have yet to reopen, we got upgraded here. This was truly a treat! My boyfriend and I love it here; we definitely will be coming back next time we are in Orlando. The hotel gives off a tropical resort feel, and has gorgeous, lush surroundings. We got a water view, looking at the pool and found it to be quiet and beautiful to look out at. The staff was very friendly and attentive. When checking in, it was quite loud, so we didn't actually understand a majority of what the lady told us, but anything we needed answers to the security guards always helped out. Plus, they offer a text to front desk, and they are very responsive! I hope this feature is kept going forward. We actually preferred not having our rooms cleaned each day. We aren't messy travelers and only needed replenishments of paper products once toward the end of the trip. Every day they were adamant about getting the temperature check to make sure it was safe for all guests. The wristband was changed out each day and was very quick! We loved the ability to take a quick 7 minute walk on a path to either IOA, Universal or the City Walk. Plus, the unlimited express passes were beyond amazing! I will never, not have these when going to the Universal parks again. Although we didn't go into the pool, it looked amazing. We will definitely build in a chill day to lounge by the pool the next time we are here. All in all, we were definitely impressed with the covid-19 cleaning protocols and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. We felt very safe staying here. This was our first stay at a Universal property and we will most definitely be back. Thanks for being our first hotel stay post-covid! We had a blast!
Living in our own filth
During our three day stay, the hotel never emptied our trash, despite repeated requests. We had trash piled as high as the TV stand by the time we we left. Also, the internet was limited so we had to log out of one device to allow another device to have wifi.
Visit to resort and theme park
It was a great experience and I will never stay anywhere else. Clean, friendly staff, and great additive having the express ticket included. I have already booked again at the end of March. The hotel was very much worth the value and cost.
