5 year anniversary
We came to Orlando for our first HHN 5 years ago. We loved our trip so much we made it an annual October trip since then. Our trip to hard Rock was so great years ago and despite being more expensive than most on site we decided for our 5 year to do it again. It's still a beautiful resort. Most of the staff is nice. Easy walk to Universal or boat ride.... That's where it ends for me. We almost missed stay and scream hhn our first night because the front desk kept saying our room would be ready by 4. Then we are told that it's incorrect and can be ready ANYTIME. We wouldn't have been upset if they would have just said... you're not gonna make it to the room, get ready and go and we'll let you know when the room is ready..... Finally we took it upon ourselves to do what we needed and headed to the event... literally running to get into universal before 5pm. Ok fine. We took it for a hiccup. Nope. Everyday something was missing from our coffee station. I had to tell someone to refill the creamers, stirrers, conditioner in the bathroom.... for the money we paid..... unfortunately royal pacific was on point the last few years. Maybe it was just a giant hiccup? But not sure if we would stay here again... mostly because of the interactions on the first day. Be nice and explain! Don't dismiss people!
We stayed here for a trip to Universal. Everyone was super friendly and if we needed anything all we had to do was text and they brought it. Everyone was super helpful and I was surprised that no matter who you asked in the hotel, they all knew the answer. The rooms were very clean and big for a hotel room.
So close to the parks
This hotel is a pretty nice place. The staff is friendly and helpful. The texting option for the front desk is great, as well as the 24 hour room service. It's a quick walk to the parks (beautiful walkway at that), or a boat ride away. The boat doesn't seem to frequent as often as the ones for the other hotels, but it's easy to catch usually there or on the way back from CityWalk. We stayed in a two queen deluxe room with a sleeper sofa. It was great with teenagers, but nothing to fancy. Overall the hotel was very friendly, the amenities were top notch, and the location couldn't be beat. The unlimited express passes were nice too, but during the time of year we went we didn't really need them. Still nice to have them. I'd stay here again.
Best resort for Universal Studios!
Hard Rock is our go to place to stay when visiting Universal Studios in Orlando. Super clean, very attentive, friendly staff. The hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms are spacious and clean. We enjoy the large pool and slide that sits perfectly next to a bar with food service. Plenty of outdoor seating. The walk to Universal Studios is very quick and through lush gardens by the water. Best place to stay!
Dinner out with Friends
I live locally and my friends and I love to try new places. Tonight we chose The Kitchen at the Hard Rock Hotel, Universal Orlando. It was fantastic! Bryan was our hard working server who took excellent care of us as we enjoyed the Magical Dining menu. Our meal ended with what I can honestly say was the best chocolate cake any of us had ever had. We will certainly be back to this great spot and perhaps enjoy a stay-cation at the resort. Thank you Bryan and Dawn for a great evening! Hope to see you again soon!
