Birthday Celebration 🎉
Upon check-in, we arrived at Guest Services and had the very good fortune to be assisted by Karen, who warmly welcomed us to The Fontainebleau. We chatted. We laughed, and just minutes into our stay we were feeling all “aahh”😎 Karen was kind enough to offer us a suite upgrade - at no charge. The room has made for an exceptional experience - as has the hospitality at The FB. I’d not returned to the Bleau since 2005, when a hurricane caused an evacuation of Miami Beach. Since then, the property has undergone extensive renovation and growth - honoring its iconic history and design - while offering a new, fun and wonderfully contemporary twist on resort lux. Thank you, Karen! In our book, YOU are The Fontainebleau experience - and we’re better for it😘 Del and Chris
Almost 5 Stars
Le Fontainebleau was absolutely beautiful and very luxurious. I would have no problem spending as much money for such a quality resort had there not been so many disappointments. We reserved a room with a king size bed and it was given away before our 5pm arrival, leaving us no option but to accept two queens. With four children, my husband and I were seeking a weekend alone to celebrate our anniversary. Despite advertising 7+ pools, we were surrounded by footballs being thrown, splashing and loud children. We may have enjoyed the adults only pool, but it was reserved for private parties both full days we were there. Over crowding was probably the reason drinks and food service were painfully slow and grabbing something quick wasn’t possible due to the long lines. The food was delicious but all in all for the cost we will probably go back to an adults only hotel the next time we visit Miami.
Excellent checkin service - Karl
Hotel is great, but it’s the people that make it so. Karl went the extra mile and took care of some unexpected issues at check in. It was very much appreciated. 5/5 stars. Will definitely be back for at least this reason, hopefully others.
Lots of History
Lots of history in this hotel! We had a presentation regarding how it got where it is today. Make sure to notice the bow tie marble and bow tie pool. We enjoyed a private event at the Liv nightclub -check it out if you can. Our first room in the 4th floor of the main building had a view of the roof and air conditioning units only so avoid if you can. They moved us to 1085 of Versailles tower which had a nice balcony and views of water. Much better choice. It is an accessible room so shower is small because of fold down bench. Ask for a robe!!!! Beyond wonderful.
Saved our vacation
Having just come off a miserable week in the keys at a struggling property, Fontainebleau renewed us and saved our vacation. We were upgraded to the Tresor tower in a high floor suite. Amazing views. Huge room. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Large bathroom. Private heated pool and hot tub were a great place to wind down after the main pool scene. Main pool scene. Wonderful Miami party scene with less pretension than others I have seen. You do have to get up early to claim your pool seats but renting beds and cabanas is not a necessity here. The music starts to get loud at 11 and the party starts at 1. Full on party at Cote which begins to spill out to the main area. But you can always find a calm space if you prefer, the pool and lounge section covers a massive area. We ate at Vida, Burger/Pizza, and Hakkassan. All were wonderful. I think Hakkasan is a little overhyped but still very good. It is a huge complex and things do take some time, 10-20 minutes for your car, up to an hour for your bags to reach your room. But everything is done with such grace that it just doesn't matter. All over the property you hear polite and gracious interactions with the staff .. even to the most obnoxious of guests. I can say without a doubt I would return to Fontainebleau over and over before going anywhere else.
