A positive experience
Contrary to some of the negative reviews, I had a positive and pleasant experience. I think because Springbreak is over. I stayed in an Oceanfront Junior suite in the Sorrento Tower, 9th floor. Beautiful room and view. Standard cleanliness, I doubt rooms are thoroughly disinfected. Im the type who will always disinfect light switches, toilets, remote, handles, etc. I can only imagine how bad it must’ve been during Springbreak. If you’re not here to party, I suggest weekday stays only, avoid fridays and saturdays. We did not have any issues with towel shortages, getting a chair on the beach or waiting for our food on the beach. Did not have long wait at elevators either. Again, I think those issues arise during Springbreak. Beach chairs don’t get set up till 10am and even then not a lot of people are on the beach. I stayed away from the pool area, that is very overcrowded and did not look clean. As far as the bakery and long lines, you should aim to be there at 7am for no line. This is not a 5 star hotel however. Yes, it is pricey but you will find similar issues at other hotels too at similar prices. I was so worried about my stay after reading so many poor reviews but again, I think it was due to Springbreak. My nice room contributed most to my positive experience. Good luck!
You pay for 5 stars and you get 2 stars
Let me start with what probably many of you know, this is a hotel for young crowds to be seen at the pool and party, and I knew that when I booked it. But I was not expecting for the price I paid that there will not be room service, there will not be room cleaning, there will ran out of towels at the pool and the beach (but you are charged for them), that there will be only one restaurant open for lunch during weekdays so you have to wait more than one hour at the restaurant or more if you order at the beach. So if you are looking to an overcrowded and overpriced ($18 for 2 eggs breakfast) hotel with no services and wait lines for everything you do then this for you. Also you pay extra for balcony and even though the view is great, we were in front of some machinery where the noise will ruin the experience of being in the balcony. You can see in the pictures how dirty towels and trash were in the hallways every day.
Don’t come to this hotel unless you are blackout drunk
This hotel is has seen a serious decline since I stayed here 2 years ago. Everything is fine in the day... people of all walks of life walking around, families and pool jamming. But at night it turns scary. First of all they take their phones off the hook at 10pm. So no way to get anything delivered to the room. If you want some thing you have to go downstairs to the front desk which if you’re there with a baby isn’t possible. We got an executive suite which was over thousand dollars a night and they didn’t even put a water in the room. If you would like water you have to go to the front desk and purchase a small can of water for five dollars. And the night front desk person is extremely rude. Like I’m talking about bullying me for wondering why there was no place to get water in the hotel. There’s children 15 16 years old walking around the hotel blacked out drunk at all hours of the night. The only person working at night is the rude front desk person. The only saving grace of this hotel is one of the beach bar workers name Carmen. She actually heard our concerns and cared unlike everyone else we had spoken to thus far. This is not a place to go if you want to have a good customer service experience or be pampered, spend your money somewhere else.
Nice spot, but it was understaffed horribly. It was very difficult to check in. I waited in line for an hour. It was very difficult to get food or drinks. Everything was always "five minutes more" but never took five minutes. We ordered a margarita and it came 90 minutes later. The waitress couldn't have cared less.
Good if your 22 and want to party....not to relax
I stayed at the Fountainbleu in 2016 and if you are looking to relax don't go there on a weekend. I was disappointed in the level of service and the crowd. It has gone downhill. The crowd was a strange mix of 20-year-old party people and unclassy type of people. There was a marijuana smell everywhere, people were congregating in the lobby like it was a club or lounge. It was a Zoo, unfortunately, I won't be staying there again. It's a good choice if you are 22 and want to party not if you're an adult who wants to relax and feel comfortable. It is sad to see such a beautiful property degrade in such a way.
