Cheeca Lodge is Better Than Ever
Our recent Family vacation to the Cheeca Lodge & Spa was fantastic from the time we stepped on the property. Janell at the front desk was so friendly and professional that she set the tone for our wonderful stay at Cheeca. Every time I walked by her desk Janell would ask me, by name, how our stay was going and is there anything we needed. Sean Bacon who is the Cheeca Director went out of his way to help us extend our stay and make sure we had everything we needed. The property has recovered nicely after the Hurricane highlighted by the new pool down by the water which compliments the beautiful pool they already had. This allowed for lots of pool deck chairs and plenty of seating for those who wanted it in addition to the new Tiki bar so no waiting for refreshments. The views were breathtaking of the ocean and property allowing scenic walks through the grounds and under the Tiki touches every night. . Omar was walking around the pool areas and beach seating making sure everyone was taken care of and comfortable. He was a joy to talk to and always had a smile on his face. We wanted to play tennis one evening and I called down to the front desk and they delivered tennis racquets and balls to the courts in a matter of minutes and we had a blast using their beautiful tennis facility. Last but not least our room was beautiful and well appointed with all the comforts of home and services of a 5 star resort. The rooms were cleaned every day and the turn down service with a tasty piece of chocolate for everyone was a special touch. I could go on and on about the amazing Cheeca Lodge & Spa but I would run out of space. If you ever get a chance to stay at the Cheeca DON'T pass it up because you wont be disappointed! Say Hi to Janell, Sean, Omar and the entire Cheeca team for me...
The is a fabulous hotel, but beware the water craft services
We loved everything about the Cheeca Lodge-rooms, restaurants, service,--but had a terrible time snorkeling. I understand this service is contracted out but we had no way to know it would not meet the standards the rest of the hotel meets. Although there was a sign where they were supposed to post conditions, they did not let us know how chappy the water was. It was very difficult to swim and we did not see any fish. No one accompanied us in the water, as many places do. They dropped us off quite a way from the area where the fish were supposed to be and just kept indicating with their arms that we should keep swimming. They said it would be a little hard swimming to the reef but easy coming back, which was not the case.
Winter get away
The resort was exactly what we envisioned. The room was set up beyond our expectations. Wish we had more time there to enjoy the amenities that were there. And enjoy the surrounding area. We did get to use the golf course and enjoyed it. We did not have time to spend on the beach, which is something we usually like to do.
We just returned from 4 days at the Cheeca Lodge with our 3 children ages 8, 6, and 2. It was a wonderful experience from the second we arrived. The staff was friendly, helpful, and we even got a free upgrade to an ocean view (Thanks Jean, you rock!). The view is absolutely gorgeous. The resort is clean and the staff is always there to assist. We ate at the resort a few times which was lovely, but I also highly recommend going to Loraleis for sunset dinner and drinks. It is very close to the resort. We ordered lunch poolside many times and everything was delicious. Shout out to our amazing waiter Vasco! I also went to the spa which was an amazing experience. The only negative was the choppy water when we were there (no fault to the resort) so we were not able to enjoy our snorkling trip or take out kayaks. I also loved the gates by the pool. With 3 little kids, it was nice to know they couldnt get into the pool area on their own. A nice little safety addition. I would definitely stay here again and could not say enough positive things about the resort!!
Hi, we came with three families, including three children. The resort is beautiful, and the fishing pier outstanding. The only negative was the loud music at dining and children's pool. The staff were great and very helpful. Hope to return again.
