Not a non smoking hotel

I will make this review short and to the point. It is a beautiful property but still needs some attention to detail to be rated 4 stars. They advertise that they are a non smoking hotel, however that is not true. I paid for a junior suite with a gulf view balcony room, but could not enjoy the balcony because of all the people smoking around my room. If you advertise that you are a non smoking resort then you should enforce that! To pay upwards of $350.00 per nite and not be able to enjoy the balcony outside is absurd. I did make the management aware of the situation and they said that they allow people to smoke on their balconies, and I said then you should not advertise as a non smoking resort. The answer I got was that they will talk to the General Manager about that. Also the entire stay one elevator was not working which left only one elevator for everyone in building 2 to use. We mostly used the stairs because we got tired of waiting for the one elevator . On a good note the employees are very helpful and hard working the girls that work at the beach are excellent but the one boy and I didn’t get his name was very lazy. When I walk up to get a chair at the beach, he was so into his cell phone that I actually startled him and he handed me a chair cover and a towel and asked me my room number and that was it. After that I saw the girls who worked at the beach walk the guests to their chair and put the chair cover on and gave them a table and their towels.

Beautiful renovated resort with excellent service!

Thank you Longboat key club for an amazing weekend stay for our 20 year anniversary. As soon as we arrived, they delivered champagne and a fruit/snack tray to celebrate! Every employee treats you with great service. We loved that they checked in a few times on our stay. This property has a gorgeous beach and we love the renovated rooms! We can’t wait to stay again over the holidays!

Fantastic resort, stellar staff!

I recently visited the Longboat Key Club for my 40th birthday. I can not say enough great things about the accommodating staff, the fabulous food and drinks, as well as the amazing atmosphere!! I must say that I was a bit apprehensive about traveling during the time of Covid-19, but the club was well prepared, the staff was well trained in sanitation, and our room was spotless! While the entire staff was warm and welcoming, I’d like to give a special thank you to the staff that made my trip extraordinary. Jane, Zack, and Dylan always made sure our beach days were comfortable and carefree! Pawla and Cheryl were lovely, they prompt and made me feel like family!

Girl's Trip

Absolutely beautiful resort with amazing staff! Service at the resort was exceptional-Pawla, Cheryl, Dylan, Zack, Jane, Tara, and Carlos really went above and beyond to take care of us! Suite was spacious and clean, beach was very pleasant, food delicious... Couldn't ask for a better vacation! Thank you!

Staff

My husband and I are spending a month here at the resort. We must say, that Jane Gatz, the pool and beach supervisor, has continued her stellar performance. My husband is disabled, so Jane goes out of her way to take special care of him. We watch her on a daily basis greet all of the guests, so many of them by name, in such a welcoming manner. She is constantly running between the pool and the beach making sure that everybody is as comfortable as can be and that everything is in order. She is a tremendous asset to the resort and has been these last several years since we have been coming here. We sincerely hope the resort recognizes her many talents.
