Another Great Vacation
We have been going to the Clearwater Beach Hilton Resort and Spa for the last 13 years, and thought there have been changes, seldom are they bad changes. With Covid, it is a troubling, but the Hilton for the most part made it a relaxing time. On occasion the staff could have done a better job of making sure people abided by the mask rule inside the Hotel, but some people just don't listen. That didn't cause us any issues, because we stayed to ourselves and enjoyed the beautiful hotel and beach. The staff is absolutely excellent around the pool area and the Tiki hut. The hilton can not go wrong with Lisa in control of the pool area and food. She is one of the reasons we come to the Hilton. With her personality and attention to detail and remembering repeat customer, she is a treasure to the Hilton hopefully the Hilton management understands and recognizes her as such. Last year there were some bugs concerning the valet, but not this year. The were always on it and we at most waited about 3 minutes to get our car. The front desk personnel, again outstanding and extremely helpful. We had three consecutive reservations, and they made sure the process was seamless. The only complaint, but really a concern, was the Hilton Honors Diamond member comes with a free Continental breakfast for up to 2 people in the room. The continental breakfast is an absolute perfect way to start your day. You get it to go, and enjoy it at poolside. This year, no go, possibly the Hilton management could have accommodated the honors members with a continental breakfast to go, and have the restaurant employees put it together . Or did what the Hilton at Disney Springs did last year when issues arose for their continental breakfast, they allowed us to order or eat breakfast in the standard restaurant area. But maybe logistics didn't allow for that to be done. All in all, the Hilton is the best hotel RIGHT on Clearwater Beach. You can complain about many things but you can never complain about the attitude and willingness the staff has to make your stay the best stay every time you are there.
Fantastic beach bar in the sand as you head out to the ocean. Lots of frozen drinks and friendly bartenders. Don’t have to be a hotel guest to enjoy cocktails. Not cheap! It’s on the beach, so you pay for the view I guess...
Great Weekend Getaway from Orlando
Newly renovated hotel with a great beach. Short drive from Orlando. Good restaurant and bar. Lots of dining options walking distance from the hotel. Beach is one of the best things about this hotel. We will definitely come back.
No Concern For Their Own Covid Policy
We stayed one night and I hope to never stay at another Hilton property. The resort was beautiful but they took a nonchalant attitude toward their own policy requiring guests to wear masks in public spaces. There are signs everywhere but of course it meant nothing as staff did nothing to enforce it. When I asked about why the lack of enforcing their posted requirement I got a shoulder shrug and dismissed. It would seem the policy is there to cover their backsides with no real meaning. I emailed corporate which was forwarded to the property manager. Sadly, they replied but did not address my concerns. Solidifying the fact they do not really care about their own Covid response. I am a long time Hilton Honors member but switching to Marriott. So long Hilton.
We drove up to this resort from Sarasota for 4 nights. While the stay was fine, when we got our car to drive home I noticed a major crack in the frame below the door. I immediately said this wasn’t here when we valeted the car. So he said he would call security. Security came and took a report and pictures. Surprise surprise the company called and said it couldn’t be confirmed this happened on site they were not liable. Well guess what?? I believe one of your valet folks drove this clear over a curb and cracked the frame. And the fact is you won’t accept this liability, and I have been a loyal diamond member. Well I’m sure Marriott will value me, so I’ll give them a shot.
