Great place right on the Gulf
My wife and I just got back from spending the week at the Edgewater. We really enjoyed this place and I think you will too. We had the one bedroom gulf view in the Tower. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Spacious and Quiet. The windows must be hurricane proof. We were on the fourth floor directly above the restaurant and it was super quiet. Never heard our neighbors and I'm a light sleeper. Conveniently located to get to Old Naples and 5th Street South. Clean Easy and free parking RIGHT on the beach. Great pool and beach area with great staff. Kitchenette had microwave, toaster, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. Free wi-fi Friendly and helpful staff If you opt into getting texts, they would send occasional texts to ensure our stay was going well. I really appreciated their follow up to ensure our stay was meeting our needs. Cons: Occasional interrupted wi-fi Yeah, one little con and MANY pros. We had so much fun hanging out, taking walks on the beach and in the neighborhood. My wife needed a relaxing vacation and that's what we had. If you want a great place for location, vibe and accommodations, this is the place.
Beautiful Hotel with excellent location
Beautiful luxury hotel with prime location. Friendly, attentive staff. Delicious food and drinks. Fun for the family or a couples weekend. The town of Naples is lovely. Highly recommend The Edgewater Beach Hotel.
Great Beach Service
Cam, Jamie, CJ, and Allen were of great help to both me and my family. Their friendly customer service and speedy assistance was much appreciated. It is nice to see that there are still some hotels who know how to put their customers first.
Nice hotel on the beach but not following its own COVID policy
What really makes this property is its location at the edge of the water and food and drink service at the beach. What breaks this property is how it manages its response to COVID. Hotel COVID policy on the web site that "Face coverings required as part of uniforms for all team members" is misleading. Anybody would interpret this statement that each and every member of the staff must wear a mask the same way that they must wear a uniform. When I asked Guest Services why some staff members are not wearing masks I was told they are only required to wear a mask when interacting with guests... Do they wear their uniforms only when interacting with guests? How does this protect the staff members from each other? Even so, first day at the beach, two different staff members that I interacted with did not wear a mask. A beach waitress and a beach chair attendant. When I reported this to Guest Services I was told that "We will address the beach attendant and beach server". Nothing changed the following day or the day after. The same two staff members were not wearing a mask while interacting with guests and an additional beach chair attendant and the pool bar tender were not wearing a mask while interacting with guests. The room appeared clean but wasn't any evidence of any enhanced cleaning protocols due to COVID. Air conditioning was blowing well in living area of the suite but not adequately in the bedroom. Refrigerator ice-maker wasn't working. No ice machines on the floors. Hand-sanitizers everywhere but they smelled kind of funny so decided to use my own. Cocktails served at the beach watered down. Kitchen got something wrong with most of our orders. Beach waitress very pleasant but not wearing a mask indicates disregard for guest, and her own, safety. I saw one of the pools not very clean around 10:30 a.m. even before any guests used it that day. Both pools in need of resurfacing. Grounds and beach clean. My advice to management: 1) be honest up front about your COVID Policy so guests can make an informed decision if they feel comfortable with it, and 2) enforce your own COVID policy.
I have lived in Naples for 24 years and this is the best staycation we have very taken. Hats off to the staff who truly made it memorable. Especially Donalda at the front desk. This is a medium size property with just the right feel. Two pools, reasonable rates compared to others in their demographic and a superb location. Not only right on the ocean, which is not a normal for hotels in Naples, but very close to downtown as well. We loved every minute of our two night stay. We will be back sooner than later. .
