Would Never Imagine
Was very upset. Always wanted to stay there, finally got a good reason to do it. No bottled water in the room, not even in the minibar for $. There's a kitchen with no utensils kettle or coffee machine. No bathrobes. This is ridiculous.... No bottled water in the DESERT, no coffee machine of any sort. These to basic things you will get in any the least sophisticated motel in the area. The eatery downstairs serves quite good sandwiches but this is the maximum you can get. All restaurants in Aria are packed and you want to have something more than just a sandwich in your hotel. Just really surprised how such a luxurious estate can make you feel as if you are staying in some YMCA.
Lovely hotel with no casino. We were on a high floor in a gorgeous suite with wrap-around views - could see the city and the surrounding mountains. There is constant highway noise but it didn't bother us. There is a bar but no restaurant right now, and no room service. We had a kitchen but it was empty of pots, pans, dishes, etc. We called housekeeping and they brought up the utensils we wanted. A coffee maker with coffee costs $20 extra per day. I assume this is all because of the difficulty in finding staff right now to clean all of this stuff. The way to get food and drink is to order coffee and food on the room's Ipad. Then you go down to the market in the lobby and it's ready for you. The market food and staff are great! The Starbucks in the lobby was closed two out of the three days we were there. The housekeeper we had was lovely and our suite was spotless. Vegas last week was opening up from a summer of lockdown, they had a bad Covid outbreak. You have to wear masks everywhere indoors. Many attractions were closed or had limited hours. But everyone had a good attitude. Vegas was hard for us to navigate - you have to walk long distances, your walk is suddenly cut off by roaring traffic and highways, then you have to figure out how to go up stairs, through hotels, etc. to get where you're trying to go. But Uber and taxis are everywhere, so we adapted and took taxis.
I stay at this resort for the first time ever this October. This trip was part business as well as part celebrating our 3 year anniversary. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed staying here. We wondered what it would be not having a casino as that's our typical situation when we visit Las Vegas! Must say that we liked having the separation as it provided a great atmosphere. Casinos are close by but we got to enjoy ourselves being away at times from that hectic atmosphere. Definitely would recommend this place and we'll be staying here for future visits!!
Location next to Aria and Cosmo was very convenient. Being on the strip but not in a big casino was nice. Will likely be my hotel of choice for future returns to Vegas. Claudia from the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. Views from the rooms are amazing.
Vdara is awesome!
I stayed at Vdara for 6 nights. I had an Executive suite with a great corner view. The staff was friendly and professional. They let me check in an hour early. Room was nice and clean. Actually, my room was so nice, I took a video and sent to a couple friends. I was on the side right across from The Aria, which is one of my favorite gambling spots. I have zero complaints and would definitely recommend!
