Not coming back. WASTE OF TIME
RM 21222. The good. Free self parking,.... and also promo price. just 80 usd for a night. Free WIFI. Via App checkout. The room seemed clean.** The bad. Once I got to my room, it smelled like smoke.. not cigarette but either vape or weed. I contacted the front desk.. i was told "this is a non smoking hotel sir" no suggestions or help given. Fine. I slept with a mask on. Checked out the sockets to do some work. The socket by the bedside, both left and right did not work. The socket on the study table also didn't work... I had to use the one by the tv stand for my cellphone charger. Tried to watch tv instead... It didn't work too. I tried changing the input and unplug and plug. It didn't work. ..... Tried to call front desk/ engr... I was on hold for a good 20 mins +.. I figured to just go on my laptop to work.... (on batteries.) Called after an hour, got through. Was advised that they will send a staff in. Informed them that I will go out for work. When I came back at night, the tv worked for a good 5 minutes. It then went out again. I called and was advised that it was hotel wide and they will fix it momentarily.... I slept on it. The following day, the TV still didn't WORK. I gave up. at around 8 am, I called housekeeping to ask for toiletries. The mentioned that "they'll send some right away." i was getting ready for breakfast... after 20 minutes, I tried contacting them...I couldn't connect... After an hour from my initial call, I dialed housekeeping again.. I talked to the same person. She said with a tone... "Oh I'm sorry sir, we can't send one up because of covid, we had to ask the staff to come in together at a later time. At around 9:30am they should be here". I couldn't believe I waited for amenities for an hour.. and lost time for breakfast. It was stupid. But I let her be. I understand the needs and staffing during this time BUT maybe they could have been upfront about it and not waste my time **BTW : i noticed strands of hair in the shower and on the sink before I even used them. ...... As much as I understand the stress on the staffing... there were just a little bit too much of an inconvenience. NOT GOING BACK.
Poor Service and Insecurity stay
It was the worst experience in that hotel, it does not have the slightest security in any area of the hotel. The rules of social distancing did not exist. More than 8 people got into the same elevator together.

rooms/hall reeked of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Bed and pillows so hard I ended up sleeping in chair. They want to charge a $50 restock fee if you try to use their frig. No coffee pot in room. We didnt even have hand towels in the bathroom.
Where to start...The people in the room next door - the conjoined room - smoked marijuana every single day during our 3 day stay. Our room absolutely REEKED of marijuana, almost as if we were smoking inside our room. My boyfriend and I called the front desk multiple times to see if we could re-locate to a different Tower Spa Suite, to which the front desk said they had zero availability. The only thing the front desk persons suggested is that we call the front desk, so that Housekeeping can come upstairs to spray our room with air freshener. Upon the 3rd time calling to get our room air freshened, it took housekeeping over an hour to come up. The housekeeping person even suggested that we re-locate rooms...we told him that front desk said there was no availability. He said there was nothing else he could do other than give us our own bottle of air freshener! Thanks, MGM! You couldn’t do ANYTHING for us other than give us a bottle of air freshener. Just FYI... we do not have an issue with marijuana, it just SUCKS waking up and falling asleep to the smell. That’s not what we paid for. Our first and second night of our stay, we had no working television service. It was happening periodically both days. By our 3rd day, we weren’t having issues with the TV. Overall, I would not recommend the MGM Grand to any of our friends and family. This hotel was very disappointing.
Great room rate minus the service fee that is as much as the room rate.
Went last minute to get away during the week. Checked in an added a 3rd night. Front desk was nice to do this. Unfortunately after that it wasn’t so present. Mini bar seal was already open and there was a snack wrapper on the floor (do not want to charged for that) hair in the sheets, tv was not in service for one if the days, water was shut off in the middle of the night. I also haven’t received an itemized recipient upon mobile check out.... I would recommend to stay here only if the rates are cheap. The rooms are basic, nothing special.
