Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa4.5
This resort has recently been renovated and has a modern and fresh style, a network of pools and a fantastic setting.
This popular spot is the place to head if you want the typical Hawaiian resort experience – complete with plenty of things to do if you stay on site. However, we highly recommend getting out and about and this is a great base for exploring the island. Following busy days you can return and relax by the swimming pools – one of which is for children and has a partially sandy floor – in the hot tub or at the Mandara Spa where are host of treatments and therapies are available. The Waikoloa Golf Club is next door and you can play either of the two championship courses here for a fee. If you want to learn a little more about the culture of the region, make the most of the Hawaiian activities offer which include lei making classes, ukulele lessons and a tour to the nearby petroglyphs.
The rooms and suites have been upgraded to a fantastic standard with modern neutral décor with hints of light blue and incredibly comfortable furnishings. Each room has a balcony which looks out over the resort, the pool or the ocean. We particularly like the Ocean Front Rooms, which as the name suggests, have the best views in the whole resort.
