I have stayed here on several occasions and each time it’s a hit and a miss, never quite making the mark. I stay here because my employers booked it and not through personal choice. Each time I have been here there has been issues with wake up calls either for myself or for one of my colleagues. This ranges from not getting a call at all or to the wake up call being 15-20 minutes late. I’m sure the generic management response will give COVID as a reason to this unprofessional service however it has been this way for the last few years. The reception staff on the desk can vary in how welcoming or blatantly rude they are. I find it rather shocking in a country such as America that is apparently so service driven that from some of the employees at this hotel they can behave in such a poor manner with a lacking attitude . The cleanliness is a whole other matter and during this time of COVID it is shocking beyond belief that the rooms are not cleaned properly.
In general the hotel is dated. Ceiling Shower Head not working as it should due to limescale In room safe doesn’t work Shower floor is disgusting I coffee pod it’s what’s left in your room no cream just dairy powder The cleaning is also unifficient and make sure your room door is properly closed as for twice was left open The receptionist on duty on the night of 20/8 was really a charm not providing any further information than saying no I’m sorry Not good at all
Good stay as always
Was here for business, however in the current situation it was sad not to see all the normal staff at the hotel, especially the amazing doorman. Room was very adequate apart from the iron spitting out dirt on my shirt. Had the problem of only 2 pillows on the bed, this isn't normal and normally have 4 very large ones. Overall a good stay.
the front desk person was very polite and courteous. The room was a let down. Very small bed was uncomfortable, a king bed but only 2 tiny flat pillows, the room smelled like someone had been smoking bad weed, a starbucks cup was in the refrigerator, the room was not well appointed at all, very tire small and smelled awful. Would not recommend and would not stay again even if paid to stay.
Fantastic 4th of July Weekend!
Once we arrived checking in was efficient and easy. We stayed in the Superior Double Room. The room was spacious and very clean. My favorite feature in the room was the ceiling shower head. The hotel followed Covid-19 protocols with guest wearing mask, providing hand sanitizer, adhering to physical distancing, and allowing limited guest to use the elevator at once . Jason, the manager, professionalism and attentiveness was superb! He wanted us to have the best experience at the Millennium Knickerbocker! This was an amazing location to relax and explore the great city of Chicago!
