This hotel is welcoming from the start. It’s like walking into a meditative spa.. tranquil lobby to gorgeous pool and fire pits along the patio.. a bonvoy hotel.. must visit..walk downtown or take their complimentary shuttle.. bar and restaurant inside as well. Beds are comfy so it’s a win win here!!
Centrally located close to downtown PS
This updated Renaissance made for a very relaxing and enjoyable long weekend getaway. Our first time in PS and we wanted to be close to downtown PS. We walked everywhere. Fantastic restaurants close by. Pool area was super. An abundance of towels, iced water, and lounge chairs. Very decent food (we had the hamburger) and drinks served poolside. Breakfast at the hotel was also really good. Great friendly service all around. Free shuttle to airport was handy, although from the airport you have to phone them to make arrangements for pick up. We took Lyft and it was roughly $10. Air conditioning (at least in our room) was quiet and powerful--worked great. Attentive housekeeping. Very relaxed vibe. Nothing too fancy--just very decent quality. It is afterall a Renaissance, and not the Ritz. Good value.
Here for the CAHF convention
This is an amazing place. The staff from front desk to cleaning staff are some of the most courteous people that I have had the pleasure of staying with. I would highly recommend this as an excellent place for your next trip.
What a disappointment
My bathroom had not been adequately cleaned. There were other people’s hairs on the floor in the corners. They serve breakfast in plastic containers like the ones in the grocery deli. I ordered the English breakfast. They forgot to include the bacon and sausage but had the audacity to say it was mixed in. This hotel is yet another example of the disconnected between services offered and the physical appearance. I will never return.
Stay at this hotel if you want to sleep in dirty sheets.
The TV does not have a guide, so you have to have to flip channel by channel to see what's on. The water in the shower comes out so hot it burns you. The hotel charges $30 a day for parking even though the parking lot is half empty. They did not let us check in until 4 p.m. even though we were there at noon for a conference. But the worst part was that when we went to bed the first night, we found 2 tissue papers in between the sheets, which obviously means that the sheets were not changed before they gave us the room. We didn't call to have them changed because it was 11:30 p.m. and we were already in our pjs, but I was completely disgusted and barely slept all night. The next morning when I went to the front desk to complain, the employee apologized and said the manager would call me. I never got a call all day. Late at night before going to bed again I went back to the front desk to tell them the manager never called me and the employee just gave me 2 free tickets for breakfast. The next day we left, and I still never got at call from management or a formal apology. I am still disgusted I had to sleep on someone else's dirty sheets and tissue papers. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
