Just heads up, the bell hops are laid off, the valet staff are unemployed. The food being offered is limited and not a good selection, the food was trying to be decadent but was just off. the employees leave the bell hop carts all over the property, when you arrive you have to go find one to use. No valet, you leave your car at the front and take your own bags to your room without assistance. The front desk doesnt tell you you dont receive daily housekeeping unless you ask, if this is something you are wanting, better setup an appointment. great location, beautiful views.
Everyone at the hotel offered a great level of service and made our enjoyment their top priority. The front desk staff even went as far as paging the engineering department to help my husband fix a screw on his sunglasses- very above and beyond! We will definitely stay there again!
Best spot in Coronado (Del is a mess!)
Top notch! This place has EVERYTHING! I wouldn't consider staying anyway else. It's 10-15 minutes (max) on a bike from everything. Bike rentals on site. Staff was amazing! Safe. Clean. We were thoroughly impressed!

Our Loews experience April 9-11, 2021 This is a summary of our recent Loews experience: Check-in - Asian fellow at the front desk (tough accent - and I work for an international company). He tried to explain the stuff going on with the hotel. (seemed like he was in training) Did not glean a lot of information from him. Entering room - OK, not great. No robes (not warned, or my wife would have brought hers if we had known) Our pet room – Our dog smelled all over the room, obviously a lot of dog pee. Phoning for services - Every time we tried to call a department had an extremely long wait, and the concierge speed dial was out of order. Room service - none. We could walk to the front, but everything closed at 945pm. (including the bar) Housekeeping - We called (waited on hold) to find out we had to give 3 hours' notice to get this done. Asked the staff in our hallway, and they said we had to call the front desk. Room cleaning Saturday when we did get it done - They barely (re) made the bed, did not clean the bathroom, just changed the towels, etc. Coffee/breakfast counter - a very disorganized and confused group of people working there. Overall, a lot of confusion and disorganization. I asked the bellman (he was good) when they reopened, and he said February. I told him this stay was "rough". Seriously, we stayed here a few times in the past, and not interested in going back. We paid full price and did not receive full service. We will never come back.
Miss opportunity to make things right.
We were extremely disappointed woth the cleanliness of the room. Pillows seemed slept on and hairs on the sheets. Room was dusty and in need of repair on walls, door, furniture, shower grout the list goes on! At check in i didnt feel like we were given a full welcome chat about amenities or when the cafes and restaurants would be open or shut. Due to this we missed out on dining at the breakfast restaurant and missed out on the beach access from thr hotel until the last day. Very disappointing. There was no room service either and we wearnt told until i rang the "Roomservice " button on the phone looking for a menu. Also no explanation as to why or due to covid. At check out i wanted to explain all of this to the front desk assistant, instead i felt cut off and told there qas absolutely nothung that could be done, no discount etc. and was given what turned out to be someone elses bill. When i realized i was given the wrong bill i was already down at the parking lot and had to turn around and come back up and get my recipt. Over all.. i feel like they just didnt care about us and our stay. There was no feeling of being taken care of. It was supposed to be a very special time for our family but were were utterly disappointed. We decided to stay in a hotel such as this for thr care and ease but we may as well have stayed at an airbnb where we were left to fend for ourselves. So sad to see the personal touch and sence of customer satisfaction being left by the wayside. We wont be back.
