Best hotel we stayed in Bodrum
It was our third vacation in BODRUM in a raw. We loved the location but could not say there was a hotel we would return to until we came to Kempinski. We came in October and could avoid the crowd. Despite low occupation the hotel was in full operation and staff was very helpful! Restaurants are all very tasty. We were surprised with Italian one which really tasted Italian. We loved the hotel which is definitely for expensive, exclusive and calm vacation.
Great luxurious hotel with a beautiful view to the bay. Modern and sofisticated ambience, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Although it was fully booked, it was not crowded , not even at dinner time. We travelled with 2 teenagers and there were not many things for them to do but they enjoyed walking around on their own! The food was excellent. Only 20 minutes drive from Bodrum where you can shop until you drop. I would recommend sunbathing at the deck , trying the hotel hamman, enjoying a drink at the bar. The staff were very polite and eager to please at all times.
A huge hotel with brilliant employees
My wife and I spent 3 days at this hotel and was impressed as soon as we arrived. The staff were very welcoming and polite and the lady in red (sorry can’t remember her name) seemed to be always working and advising guests to help with their stay. The hotel is huge which was good to explore but sometimes you can get easily lost. It would have been good if the restaurants had their name clearly displayed at their entrance to help. The buffet breakfast was very diverse, the eggs benedict could have been better but overall the food was good. The best by far was our dinner at La Luce (Italian ) the pasta was cooked to perfection and the crab cakes were delicious. We also decided to book a massage in the Spa, which In our opinion was average. The massage itself was good but afterwards it felt as though we needed to get dressed and leave. The entire experience should have been more relaxing with an area to relax in afterwards with some hot tea to drink, but after requesting this we were shown the chill out room and drank a thimble of cold ginger tea. I gave the feedback to the Spa manager who welcomed the suggestions so hope the entire experience is improved for future guests. We would have rated the hotel 5 but the Spa experience which was not cheap disappointed us.
Great hotel and beach with aquarium like sea! Yoga with Tash was so relaxing. I came with my friend and our kids, so the vacation vas perfect for all of us. Loved my time there and will definitely come back.
Family spa day disappointment
My partner, daughter and grandson went to the Sanitas spa at the Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay for a treat. The indoor pool was a big draw as my partner could occupy our grandson whilst my daughter and I had a couple of treatments as a treat. We have been several times before and absolutely loved it. Different story this time sad to say. We opted for their signature massage and a facial each. Whilst the massage was ok but nothing spectacular for the price the facials sadly were another story. We had the treatments in the same room which meant two therapists. They kept talking to each other and whispering, very off putting and not what you expect. There was no spa music playing so the room was very quiet apart from their chattering. When our masks were applied we were told they would need 20mins to dry - fair enough. No hand or foot massage as one usually gets, well if you call a two minute rub of your hand a massage, instead both therapists were on their mobile phones right behind our heads! In fact my daughter opened her eyes and came fave to face with a mobile phone. They were rough,at one point I nearly asked the lady to stop the treatment, and our faces were stinging by the time they had finished. We were told no sun and don't wash it off. We both had a shower as soon as we left as our faces were on fire! We did complain to the manager who was very good and we didn't pay for the facials but that's not the point. A world class 5star hotel should provide a lot better service for the prices charges. I would think twice before booking if I were you and I don't think my family and I will be visiting again.
