Dining is a dreamy experience at argos in Cappadocia. At Seki Restaurant, there’s the option to eat al fresco on the stone terrace with views of Pigeon Valley, beneath a sea of brightly coloured hot air balloons during the day. The menu shines a spotlight on garden-grown ingredients and locally sourced fare, rustled together to create classic Turkish dishes with a modern twist. Think zucchini carpaccio with goat’s cheese to start, followed by şaşlık kebab, homemade Kırcı pasta with minced meat and yoghurt, or plates of traditional meze (try the delicious warm hummus with pastrami). Be sure to save room for the caramelised pear tart with raspberry sorbet and Armagnac, though. An on-site wine cellar is filled with local and international labels, as well as bottles produced by the hotel’s own award-winning vineyards – ask to visit the cellar if you’re keen to pick your own wine. There’s also a cosy fire-warmed lounge-bar with cushion-topped sofas to kick back in, cocktail in hand.
