The Nai Harn

Iconic award-winning retreat

An exclusive resort on the cliffside overlooking Phuket’s Nai Harn Beach with VIP treatment.

The Nai Harn is as enviably exclusive as it looks from the beach below. It’s a stylish resort that fits neatly into the hillside and claims status as a member of the prestigious 'Leading Hotels of the World'. There’s an air of Santorini-style glamour with vivid pink bougainvillaea over white-washed buildings and state-of-the-art amenities like Nespresso machines, yoga mats and convenient USB ports.

Why we love The Nai Harn

  • A handful of steps lead down to the soft sand of Nai Harn where the hotel’s beach butlers are on hand to look after you

  • It’s a member of the 'Leading Hotels of the World', which means you can expect luxury with an individual flavour

  • Rooms with four-posters on the terrace, superb in-room dining and great service make this a swish choice for honeymooners

  • There’s a luxurious spa by the sea where indulgent treatments feature natural products from coffee to heated tiger shells

The main restaurant, Cosmo serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rock Salt is the casual beachside all-day diner. For Japanese delights, head to Hansha on the rooftop. Pre-dinner cocktails are served at Cosmos Bar whilst the Reflections Bar is an ambient spot definitely worth heading to. The cool, sunken lounge areas look out to the lovely curve of the bay.

The high level of privacy here means in-room dining is a tempting option. Order a barbecue to come to your villa’s balcony and grill fresh seafood for an intimate dinner for two – or request the services of a chef so you can relax with a drink.

The Spa at Nai Harn offers a range of treatments. There are many innovative therapies here from salted coconut peels to heated tiger shells used to loosen tense muscles. Cooled by the sea breeze, the setting is equally as relaxing as the treatments from the beach spa suites.

Enhance your wellbeing with a yoga class or take in the motivating sea views from the gym.

Join Chef Anne for a masterclass in Thai cuisine, sample the rum at the Chalong Bay Rum Distillery or make a visit to the Big Buddha and Chalong Temple.

There’s a modestly sized main pool for cooling off in, though most guests head for Nai Harn Beach, a lovely sandy stretch reached by a handful of steps where the hotel’s beach butlers are on hand to set up a beach umbrella and towel for you. If you’re keen on spotting some underwater life, there’s good snorkelling around five-minutes away at both Ao Sane Beach and Ya Nui Beach or test your balance with a bout on a stand-up paddleboard.

The staff at Nai Harn are pro-actively involved in many sustainability initiatives. They plant mangroves, clean the beach and encourage guests to put any unwanted items in the Giving Bag which is then distributed to a nearby foster home. Glass has replaced plastic and through their 'source local culinary concept' you'll find award-winning handcrafted rum from the Chalong Bay distillery and seafood from the nearby fisherman's village on the menus.
