Amazing location, excellent service
We stayed in a villa with private pool complete grown into a green jungle which only allows a view to the sea and the surrounding islands. The location on the hill of Cape Panwa is amazing. We can recommend the massage in the spa as one of the best in my live time. A body shrub was added free of charge.
Great service and warm welcome
We stayed at the Amatara Hotel for 1 night and went to have breakfast at the restaurant. All the staff were excellent. Thank you Khun beer and all the staff for excellence service and warm welcome,Thank you.
Second visit, just as good!
I really enjoyed my stay here. The facilities, the staff, the food, the location - it's all excellent. This was my second stay at Amatara - booked via Airbnb - and really, really enjoyed it. The main pool and the staff are my highlight. Thank you for looking after us.
Excellent Wellness Retreat - For wellness activists, food and service!
My wife and I stayed for three nights in a Sea View room at Amatara Wellness. I decided on going here based on good reviews and we were not disappointed. First off, the overall service was top notch. Not just from a hospitality perspective but also from knowledge in their respective areas whether it be wellness food, yoga, Muay Thai, facials, massage etc. That was one of the impressive things which stood out to us. The wellness food (as well as “non” wellness food) was excellent. My wife was so impressed with the wellness food that she decided to take a cooking class. The class was conducted by the head wellness chef, Joemar and was informative and fun. The general service by all staff was also top notch and we felt very well taken care of. Areas for improvement that I could think of include: 1) We arrived early and didn’t get to speak to the wellness program staff(we came on the wellness package) so we were not sure about what was included and not included in our package (eg all the daily group activities was included). Perhaps speaking to these guest would be helpful. 2) while our room was very nice, there is a bit of upkeeping needed like a leaky rain shower head But these were all minor and I’m sure the place will continue to improve as they move more towards a wellness resort. They have the strong base already and we will be back next time with our family!
After Bangkok and Chiang Mai it was time to relax in Phuket. This was a lovely resort for just relaxing. Great restaurants with decent prices. Nice pool and amenities. Yoga offered all day in a pavilion over looking the ocean, a perfect way to spend the day. Did not get a chance to take advantage of the spa, but sure it was amazing, a little on the pricing side though. Location was very remote, so unless you want to rent a scooter from done the road ($300 Baht per day) or pay $800-1000 baht for taxi/grab. A couple restaurants nearby- one great for cheap cocktails, but I’d stick to the restaurant for the food. Nice big rooms, clean and very comfortable.
