Excellent spot, great drinks and food (I didn’t stay just visited the restaurant and bar a couple times). Staff friendly and great vibes. And that sunset! Bravo. (TripAdvisor wants 200 characters so I wrote this sentence too.)
My family (young adult children) just spent 4 days at Amari Vogue in Krabi after 8 days of constant travel in Bangkok and Chang Mei. The resort is a welcomed oasis from the hustle and bustle of touring. The amenities were lovely and so was the staff. On Tuesday and Thursday evening, a music duo performed live by the seaside reassurance, Marcos. Julien and her husband were amazing. Also amazing was the gracious staff and manager, Dilin. We thank you Amari Vogue for a peaceful and relaxing break from our Thailand adventure. Warm regards, Beth Deangelis
Spa-like ambience, sunsets and peace
I spent 8 nights in the Grand Deluxe room over New Year’s 2020: Positives: - Tubkaek beach is not overdeveloped, with few long tail boats, and has beautiful sunsets - Excellent and warm service by employees - Delicious and varied breakfast buffet - Attracts respectful customers looking for peace and quiet - Even during the busy new year’s season, never felt crowded - Flowing water, gardens and Thai design create spa-like atmosphere - Pool is just barely big enough for some laps - Hotel offers 100 baht/person transport to Ao Nang (good for trying other restaurants and getting longtail boats to other beaches) - Hotel offers sea kayaks free of charge (under one hour) - calm water and nearby national park ideal for sea kayaking - National park next to hotel has 4 hour hike (up and down) to beautiful views through tropical rainforest Negatives: - Occasional sewage smell from chemically treated water by ocean-side bar (General Manager explained that Thai law allows hotels to discharge treated water into ocean and all hotels at Tubkaek beach did so; Amari is planning to pipe treated water away from beach in Spring 2020 which will be a big improvement) - Tubkaek beach is not ideal for swimming - water is clean but very shallow and during my visit had sea life that would slightly sting while in the water (did not experience such sea life during visits to other beaches, including Poda Island and Railay) - Many mosquitos in room, perhaps due to the Banyan Tree hotel construction next door - Banyan Tree hotel under construction next door through Spring 2020 may interfere with peaceful vacation (surprisingly not too noisy during our stay)
Amari Vogue Krabi for New Year
We loved our time at Amari Vogue, all of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was exceptional! The rooms were very clean and well presented and the pool area was very relaxing, and that's before you get to the amzing beach!
Very Nice quiet hotel
We went there as a family trip from the 26th to the 29th. The hotel is very nice, small, quiet perfect for relaxation. It is somewhat far from everything therefore you will need transport to go to Krabi or Ao Nang in the evening. For a small group it is easy with taxis available in front of the hotel. Transportation organized by the hotel has prices which are unreasonable. The staff is very nice ans more or less professional - it looks like they are under training. We went as a couple to the bar at sunset but could not sit because 1 family was occupying all the seats (1 kid per table to watch movies) and the staff would not ask to free the table. Check-in is confined in a small space and cumbersome. We were offered a take away breakfast on the last day as we had to leave early - we gave it away to the driver. The rooms are nice and well cleaned - the view is non existent. The swimming pool is very small, a large bath really. Presumably you should go to the beach or to the islands. Sunset is breathtaking. Overall it is a low key Amari - will not go back
