In an enviable setting on a private white-sand beach, the Centara Villas Samui is a great-value retreat.
This renovated and great-value resort is set on a hillside leading down to a picture-perfect and secluded beach with soft white sands, a scattering of rocks and that crystal-clear water of dreams. The freeform infinity pool – one of three at the resort – makes the most of these typical Thai coastal vistas, as does the waterfront Reef Café, the main restaurant. Waking up and wandering down to this idyllic spot for breakfast is the perfect way to begin your day. At lunch and dinner, you can enjoy a range of international and Thai-inspired dishes or choose the locally sourced catch of the day. Just next to the pool is the Coral Bar & BBQ where you can dine al fresco on themed dishes and grilled specialities.

The 102 villas, which are spread out across the hillside are simple but comfortable, each have a furnished terrace. Superior Garden View Villa are the best value option but we highly recommend upgrading to the Deluxe Spa Villa which has a sunken whirlpool tub on the spacious terrace, of the Deluxe Private Pool Villa which, as the name suggests, has a pool on the terrace.

Wake up and wander down to The Reef Café, an idyllic spot for breakfast and the perfect way to begin your day. At lunch and dinner, you can enjoy a range of international and Thai-inspired dishes or choose the locally sourced catch of the day. Just next to the pool is the Coral Bar where you can dine al fresco on themed dishes and grilled specialities. For light snacks and drinks head to Papillon Lounge.
Reef Café
For sea views as you enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner, head to the beachfront Reef Café. The cuisine here is multi-national with both Western dishes and traditional Asian tastes.
Coral Bar
The poolside bar is the place to go for refreshing drinks, mouth-watering grilled favourites and themed buffets.
Papillon Lounge
Pre and post-dinner cocktails as well as a range of light snacks are served at the resort’s lobby bar.
If you prefer something more private, take advantage of the in-villa dining option where Thai and international dishes are delivered to you.

SPA Cenvara is a tranquil haven with rainforest inspired treatment rooms, couples’ suites with a private Jacuzzi, and a steam bath. Treatments range from Indian head massages and Ayurveda body massages to signature spa rituals and healing salt-based therapies.
Explore your surroundings by bike or there’s a shuttle service that runs between the hotel and the lively Lamai and Chaweng beaches.
There are three swimming pools and a lovely stretch of private beach where kayaks are available. You can also head out on a snorkelling trip on the resort’s traditional long-tail boat.
