Excellent place for families
After half an hour in a private van from Phuket airport to the pier you will spend less than 90 minutes on a speedboat. An amphibious vehicle will bring you save and dry to the hotel reception. Beachfront bungalows have a stunning view, the white sand is clean, the water crystal clear. The lagoon is quite shallow and you need to walk a bit to get to deeper water. Hotel staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The 3 restaurants offer Thai and Western food and rhey are a bit pricey, which is to be expected when you are on an island. We enjoyed our trip a lot and could have easily stayed another week.
BOOK NOW ! Fab Holiday with Stellar Staff and Outstanding Scuba Center
My husband and I just returned for the second time (once in July and now just back from our September getaway) with our batteries fully recharged and with stars in our eyes after holidaying at Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort. We are lucky enough to be expats living in nearby Phuket and can take advantage of the phenomenal pricing that is currently available to encourage domestic travellers to travel within Thailand. If you are an international tourist planning a forthcoming trip, there are also many incredible promotions-there is sure to be something that will tempt you! The main drawing card for us was the onsite 5 star Padi Scuba Centre. We are experienced discriminating divers and have been badly spoiled. In our opinion this is one of the top dive centres we have ever had the privilege of diving with. We have also spent time on a top rated Liveaboard to the Phi Phi Islands and had a far superior dive experience with this land based operator. (and we did have a terrific time with the Liveaboard as well!). Khun Onuma and her team here will do anything to make your dive experience the best ever. Since we travelled in the green (monsoon) season, the weather can be fickle at times. Since safety should be the number one priority of any responsible diver, the boat captain always make the best choice of dive sites. You do not want to make your entry or make your way back to the boat and mount the ladder with huge swells and have to endure strong currents underwater. On each dive, our guide was fantastic, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun to be with. The crew who assisted us with our gear were amazing-true valet diving ! The reefs around the Phi Phi Islands are healthy and teaming with abundant marine life. We were delighted by the sensory overload of admiring walls of colourful soft corals and seeing schools of thousands of yellow snappers. We stayed in a Beachfront cottage and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. You literally fall out of bed , go down a couple of steps and within a few seconds are immersing your toes in the bathtub warm Andaman Sea. Beautiful sand with no rocks or sharp shells. There are two beautiful swimming pools each at opposite ends to the beach. The one closest to the dive centre is more of an oasis of tranquility and caters more to adults. The largest one with a swim up bar is located closest to the Wana spa and is immense. Both are awesome!! This resort offers complete door to door valet service. Their driver picked us up in Phuket, drove us to Ao Po Grand Marina and from there it was a short private speedboat ride of about 75 minutes to the resort. Everything was super efficient, as punctual as Swiss trains, and service very friendly. If you arrive or depart at high tide, the speedboat gets very close to shore and you simply make your way on or off by boat by stepping onto a wooden or bamboo landing. If it is low tide, the speedboat will be met by a tractor to take you to shore. This means that you have no worries about having to wade in the water in your arrival or departure outfit. Since this is the tropics, it is a good idea to pack a disposable raincoat with you as you will have a bit of a walk to and from the marina to the boat and when it rains, you can still get a bit wet even if the boat is covered. Sit in the middle of the boat to minimize motion. If you tend to get seasick, it would be best to sit at the back of the boat to get more fresh air. At the resort, there are full size umbrellas available everywhere. The food was delicious and of a very high standard. On the last evening as a special treat we ordered the surf and turf and it was sublime. Service was friendly and attentive. Every night there is live music. My husband and I had daily massages at the Wana Spa. We loved the east meets west massage and can attest to the fact that these massage therapists truly have magical hands. We were literally transported to another world. While we have met many wonderful Resort Managers at great hotels world wide, we can attest that Karin Jongman is a real gem. Not only is she a terrific hostess in welcoming you upon your arrival, she is there to ensure that each guest has a personalized and great experience. She makes it a point of speaking with each of the guests on a daily basis and is very hands on. Karin and her team work tirelessly to make your holiday truly memorable. We can hardly wait to return.
The Paradise You Never Knew You Needed
None of the other 5-star reviews are exaggerated: everything here is amazing Beach: Very private and clean, great for kayaking or paddle boarding Activities: We went on a Mangrove visit with kayaking and snorkelling, led by Khun Bom the Marine Biologist - super friendly, always smiling, full of interesting facts and jokes - totally made it an amazing trip Music band: A professional group of 4 adding harmony and chill vibes to well-known songs - definitely made our meals twice as good Room: Beach front junior suite: good sea view outdoor shower Overall: a perfect stay, accompanied by excellent service from every single one of the staff
A must-visit paradise
Everything about our stay here is impressive and memorable. From the arrival, there was a duet singing at the pier to welcome us and the check-in was very quick. We were greeted by the resort manager, Karin, who also explained about all the activities we should do and she always checked on us how we are doing through out our stay. Not to mention the welcome drink which tastes like the mocktail version of Pina Colada that was so refreshing. We stayed two nights in one of the Deluxe Sea View Bungalows and we could easily see both the lazy pool and the sea from our patio. The hotel ground is quite large and we definitely got some sweat walking from the lazy pool to the fun pool. We were surprised that the food at the resort is delicious since a lot of times the food at a resort far away can be disappointing because they couldn't get the right supply or the supply is not fresh. But that's not the case here. We had the mixed grilled seafood and everything was fresh and sweet! Although there was only one restaurant opened during our stay there were many options from both Thai and Western cuisine to choose from. The staff at the restaurant are also very attentive and friendly and we felt like we were well taken care of. We visited the Marine Discovery Centre and the guy who takes care of the place is very passionate about what he is doing and explained about the marine ecosystem in the area and the clown fish project very well. Then we booked for a half day private boat trip to Phi Phi Ley for the next day which we enjoyed very much, even though the sea got a bit rough at the end. We wish we could stay longer and hope to come back and stay here again soon.
Amazing stay would highly recommend
A lovely stay at the phi phi island village resort with an amazing welcome of flannels to feel refreshed and a drink on arrival. The pool bar is lovely temperature with nice food. The hotel have a board with lots of excursions on. Lovely food In the buffet restaurant, especially breakfast which caters for all ages! Boat transfers from Phuket were well organised and hassle free with the hotel boat being fast and comfortable. However, we did have to wait around at the hotel to get back to the docking point as they seem to put people in front of you when you have been waiting over an hour to get on the boat. This was the only downside as it didn’t seem very organised. Wouldn’t advise to go the phi phi points via the hotel entrance as it is very quiet and wouldn’t say very safe to do on your own or as a couple. Stick to the main route leading from the phi phi town itself with more people around. We took the main route down from the view point and had to pay for a boat back to the hotel which was very expensive and they try to rip you off in the town with it being locals and you tourists so beware if you do go to visit the town.
