Great deals, great facilities!
Overall this was a clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay the buffet was awesome. We didnt want to leave. The kids were busy at the kid zone and played in all the pools for hours. Club level is nice for all the extra perks, well worth it. We loved it!
An historical hotel with beautiful ambience, great rooms, excellent facilities and an unbeatable location. The restaurants are excellent and the breakfast is a fantastic selection of world cuisine. The gardens are a delight and the beach location in the heart of town made our stay very enjoyable.
The Centara was a lovely place to stay in a good location- an oasis of tranquility. The facilities met our expectations and the staff were courteous. We booked a Premier Club Pool Villa which was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. The villas are a short walk from the main hotel where the restaurants are located. The hotel boundary comes up to the beach and the hotel has pools, outdoor chess, Jenga, darts, badminton and pétanque so there are plenty of options for the children.
Good service and good COVID-19 protection practice. Buffet line is excellent.
Quite, sweet and peaceful. The garden surrounded the hotel is beautiful . The hotel is perfect for stay in all day and night for many day. Foods are great. Breakfast is delicious. In room dinning ( angus beef steak) also great. Spa is so relaxing. Staffs is so friendly and super nice.
A grand dame in need of renovation
We came here with high expectations given the raving reviews this hotel had received from other travellers. My first impression of the resort is just like those of other travellers. The colonial-styled building is really an impressive sight to behold with an impressive looking open air lobby and pays tribute to the hotel's rich history. However, we were disappointed by the aging rooms which were clearly in need of renovation. However, we enjoyed the breakfast spread which featured a wide assortment of tasty dishes set in a railway station themed restaurant. During our stay, there was a massive thunderstorm in the evening. However, we that the lights in front of our rooms were turned off (cost saving measure as other zones were illuminated) making it pitch black and very dangerous to walk to the lobby. We had to use the flashlight on our mobile phones to navigate our way to the lobby. Eventually they switched on the lights after we informed the staff. Small things matter. We would not stay here again until the guest rooms have been renovated to restore the Grand Dame to her former glory.
