We really enjoyed our stay at U Chiang Mai and I would absolutely stay here again. The location is great - within the Old City, but within walking distance to the night market. The hotel is very clean and staff are hospitable and attentive. It doesn't look like much from the front, but once you enter it's a little oasis within the crowded city. Just around the corner too from Wat Chedi. Delicious breakfast also. Loved everything about ut.
Great Hotel in Perfect Location!
Our family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights. We were greeted with some lovely bael juice and cold cloths. The hotel is located in the Old City and is in walking distance to many restaurants. It is a lovely oasis that you do not expect when you walk in from the street. The grounds are well maintained, the room was well appointed and the staff were outstanding. Our room rate included breakfast which had a good variety of food options. There is no parking on site but free street parking available nearby. We hope to return one day on our next visit to Chiang Mai!
Lovely hotel in the old city
This hotel was perfect for our stay! Chiang Mai was our first stop in Thailand, and it was a wonderful first impression. The city itself is gorgeous and charming. The hotel picked us up from the airport and we arrived at the hotel maybe ten minutes later. You are greeted with cold towels, and iced bael juice, which is delicious, and I’d never had it before. The room was clean, very cool design, and a comfy bed. I really enjoyed staying here! The location is perfect, you’re right in the middle of the old city.
Amazing staff and perfect location!
You can't ask for a better location! Located at the heart of the Old City, everything within the walls is no longer than a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Plenty of delicious restaurants nearby as well as some amazing temples. The Sunday Night Market is right outside of the hotel which was super convenient. The hotel and staff were incredible. They were very accommodating to our needs and incredibly helpful with our questions about things to do in Chiang Mai. The pool was a nice bonus and was a welcomed retreat after long, hot days exploring. Definitely check out the spa for a massage if you get the chance. They're a little more expensive than the local massage shops but it was well worth it. Best massage of my life.
Very welcoming and comfortable
Love this hotel. Staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. When they realized it was my birthday they brought me a brownie and birthday wishes. Room and pool are very comfortable. Thai message at the spa was wonderful, great happy hour prices.
