We Hope to be Back!
We have just enjoyed 6 nights at The Legend. By far, the most comfortable bed we have had at any hotel in Thailand! The hotel picked us up from the airport when we arrived, and took us back to the airport when our trip, sadly, was over. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. We loved being able to open the doors with the screens to enjoy the weather. Our room faced the pool, but felt very private and quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed just 1 night and was total bliss.Delux room facing the river #122 beautiful room, shower, huge round bath( for all u romantics) Had a compressed massage which was a 1st and will try and find another here in Bangkok as it was so relaxing/good that the nights sleep was dreamy. Gym was pretty small but was ok for the early morning work our with water/towel provided. The hotel staff know how to look after guests. there was a wedding in the morning ( what a fab setting )but breakfast was good and things sailed along nicely. will be back later this month as the company has an offsite in the province.
Long weekend in Chiang Rai
We had a problem with our room 1st night, hotel upgraded us to a Pool Villa, nice surprise, lovely room and pool, very private. Staff helpful and friendly, arranged hire car for our 3 days and taxi when we departed. Nice breakfast at riverside, so peaceful. Close to town and main highway. Highly recommend The Legend for your stay in Chiang Rai.
Great to be greeted by the manager
We arrived at the hotel in the dark, tired after a 9 hour boat trip and road transfer from Laos. We were warmly welcomed by the Swiss manager who is obviously very proud of the hotel. Check in was smooth and efficient. Walking through the grounds we appreciated the lights and lanterns in the trees. The hotel was a peaceful oasis in the city, in fact it was hard to believe you were actually close to the city centre. Our room was large with a separate seating area and a terrace outside. The bathroom had a large Jacuzzi bath and the toilet was in a separate room. The bed was very comfortable. There were a lot of mosquitos inside the room but this was hardly surprising because of the gardens and the hotel's proximity to the river. Possibly the doors had been left open before we checked in. Mosquito repellent was provided in the room We had a meal in the main restaurant in the evening choosing from the a la carte menu. We chose a Northern Pork dish and Seafood rice. Portions were large and although the waiter suggested we had another portion of rice we did not need it. We prefer choosing our own dishes rather than the buffet that was available. As an alternative we could have eaten in the hotel's Italian restaurant. There was an extensive buffet breakfast with international options and the usual egg station We would recommend the hotel for a peaceful stay but you do need a taxi or tuk-tuk if you want to visit local restaurants or the night market
Relaxing riverside hotel
We were in room 442 ground floor of one of many small two storey blocks scattered around large grounds containing water features. Very comfortable but not so quiet when raucus birds kick off early morning!I Lovely infinity pool overlooking the river. Need mosquito spray in the evenings. Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff very polite and helpful. Only mini complaint was about old frayed hand towels that should be thrown out and replaced
