Spending Special Moments with Family in Chiang Mai
It's a day that I wished for-spending night at Nimmanhaemin Road to go shopping and eat good food there. Kantary Hills Chiang Mai has got the best location and meet our needs. It is nearby a lot of restaurants and cafes. From the hotel to Maya Shopping Mall is a good walking distance which we can enjoy window shopping because there are plenty of stores, shops, and convenient stores along the way. Each room in the hotel is absolutely well-prepared with equipments and things that are required in a kitchen, such as stove, microwave, and utensils. Not only the room is really good, but also breakfast at the hotel is all-you-can-eat style with varieties of food (Western and Asian). I can guarantee that everything they serve for breakfast is super delicious. Every guest of the hotel is allowed to have light snacks and drinks that are served in the hotel lounge as well. The lounge is a very nice spot to read and relax. The services are definitely Thai kind of hospitality. We've made plans as a family to visit the hotel again.
Not the perfect location for me
I cant fault the hotel, its clean tidy and the staff are lovely. Breakfast is adequate to with a wide choice of food. The hotel is right under the flight path too, with planes flying over most of the day, tho i cant recall hearing any during the night. My only dislike is the location. There isnt many bars or restaurants near it and we were using local taxis to get to where all the action is. Location is purely a personal choice tho. There is a bar adjoining the hotel which serves the biggest selection of real ales from around the world ive ever seen, there are literally dozens to choose from, but......they come at a premium, by Thailand standards the beers are very expensive. I paid £7 for a pint of beer, which even over in UK is very dear. All in all if your not particularly bothered about location then id highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a great 3 night stay.
NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT
It was our first time in Chiangmai and we were happy we choose this hotel for our 3 nights. The location is quite good, many interesting places within 5/10 minutes from the hotel. Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. At first we were worried since we read some reviews mentioned noisy airplanes flying all the time but it was definitely not the case. In the pool you can hear them sometimes but I'm sure this is an issue in most of the hotels in the city as the airport is literally couple of miles away from the city center. While we were in the room it was not a nuisance at all. Breakfast was quite good too
This hotel in the Nimmanhaemin area is still a great place to stay in Chiang Mai. Coffee bars for people-watching, lots of shopping and craft markets, street food and live music. Plus being in easy reach of green places and outdoor activities. It's within walking distance of the old city with ancient temples/museums/exhibitions. The rooms at K.Hills are spacious, clean and comfortable with nice soft towe!s. The restaurant is excellent, with a particularly good breakfast spread. The very attentive staff are a credit to the hotel
Adequate but not quite there
Kantary Hills Hotel is in beautiful Chiang Mai and on arrival looks superb. It has some good facilities and is reasonably well situated close to the Nimman Road restaurants, bars and night life. The rooms are quiet and well appointed. What I found very disappointing was the lack of any competent concierge or city advice facility. Some hotels really do this well. Not Kantary Hills. No real interest and certainly very limited English. It proved incredibly frustrating. There is a nicely appointed restaurant which offers both indoor and outdoor dining. But no bar to speak of, and the social facilities here seemed not to be a priority.
