An outstanding experience, excellence in so many ways, the stuff dreams are made of.
10 days in paradise, not a moment spoiled. The location is picture book, the staff (all the staff without exception) added the colour that brought everything to life. We could not stop smiling. The room was excellent, secluded great for watching the wildlife, the restaurant was always attended by the most charming of staff (even in the face of challenging guests). You could not fail to be endeared to the fantastic service from everyone at Breezes, the Chefs, the waiters and waitresses, the cleaners, the gardeners, the receptions, the managers, without exception. Not a day nor a moment passed without soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the great food and drinks. The hospitality together with the location and amenities truly made it paradise. We travelled 09th Oct to 18th Oct 2018, but unfortunately that cannot be entered into the when did you travel field, so we opted for the oldest date selectable, sorry.
The staff was truly special. They took great care of us all week. The food was exceptional and we enjoyed the wide variety they offered. The grounds and the beach were breathtaking!! The only thing I wished were different was how swimmable and walkable the actual ocean was. There was a lot of coral, which made it great to look at but not to great to be in. If you are looking for a great African experience with a great staff and time to relax, this is a great choice. I would go back again without hesitation.

It‘s an amazing place with an unbelievable Service. The hotel management and all the workers are doing everything for the guests. One of the best places i have ever been. And in difficult times like corona the management does everything helpful and it was a pleasure for us to see this friendly and helpful people. We will come back one day. Steffi and Ivan
A Honeymoon we won't forget...
We stayed in July 2018 (TripAdvisor won't let me pick beyond 2019 since it took me long to get to writing this review.. Pros: - Beautiful resort with excellent service and accommodation. The beach, pool and common areas were beautiful. Our room was gorgeous and spacious with a big outdoor sitting area. - There was nightly entertainment every night with dinner and a different decorated theme each night. Loved the attention to detail and performances. - Snorkeling was excellent! We went even though it was raining one day and it was the highlight of our stay. - Since it was our honeymoon we did the Sultan for a day experience. We started with breakfast in bed, massages and a Sultan bath, which were all excellent. Afternoon tea in our room. Then a private dinner which was nice, but I was not able to enjoy the food (see below.) We ended at the Hookah lounge which was nice. We met other tourists and had a fun evening here. - Excellent drinks by the pool and plenty of space for sun bathing by the pool and Beach. Cons: - I read all the warnings about not eating seafood while traveling, but once we got there, the majority of the buffet was seafood on the first night and it looked clean and fresh... I had shrimp ceviche and then had food poisoning for the next 3-4 days. Needless to say, it put a damper on my stay. Then the next day my husband ate something and he got it too for the next 4-5 days. Zanzibar is known for spice trading and all the food is heavily flavored with spices. One spice in particular always triggered me and I could only eat bread with butter for most of our stay. - The resort itself is on the west coast of the island. It is quite far from Stone Town and the only way to get there is to drive or hire a driver. It's quite dangerous for tourists to drive on their own because there are no roadsigns and no internet service. It is easy and common for them to get lost. We hired a driver which was a good experience but quite expensive. We were only able to do this one day. We felt quite stranded and secluded at the resort. - The hot water in the bathroom did not last long. It was a beautiful and wonderful resort with excellent staff and service. I think we just had a bad experience with the food poisoning. Only real drawback is the location.
Ocean beauty in Zanzibar
We spent 5 days here after a wonderful safari in mainland Tanzania. The grounds are lovely. The beach is beautiful. They have a dive shop on site that arranges scuba and/or snorkeling. We did snorkeling and saw remarkable star fish and even a good sized octupus. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The meals are usually themed buffet of local cuisine which were quite good. The hotel arranged a day walking tour with a guide to Stone City which was very educational. They had evening entertainment with music, acrobats and story tellers.
