Spend at least 2 nights here!!!
The Manor is situated a little bit hidden away from the main road between Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, nestled along the gigantic Ngorongoro Highlands. We absolutely loved every second of our stay here! The warm and very exclusive welcoming with a juice and fresh towels made us already feel home here. After we checked into our huge cottage room we didn't want to leave this place anymore. From our windows we had a great view over the big coffee estate. We took part in several activities offered by the lodge and we can recommend each and every single one of it. That is also why we highly recommend to stay here for at least 2 nights because it is quite an amount of money you have to invest to stay here, so you want to enjoy everything as much as possible. The staff and the management were amazing aswell, we had great moments at the bar and on the terrace with Stuart. Food for breakfast lunch and dinner were the among the finest we have had in Tanzania! We will definitely be back again! For questions feel free to contact us!
Birthday special holiday adventure
The Manor was a base for our travel to Ngorongoro National Park during a one day outing to see the variety of animals. The Manor was a really elegant located where all of the humans were behind the fencing with the wild animals outside. The rooms were very comfortable and private, the food excellent, service superb. The next day we had a tour of Lake Manyara National Park before going to the airport for our next flight.
Wish we could have stayed much longer!
Once you leave the main highway and travel some 6 kilometers on a dirt road across coffee fields and next to a wildlife conservation area, you arrive at a paradise on top of the hill. With manicured gardens and lovely Dutch facades to a set of most comfortable rooms, this place is a treasure waiting to be discovered again and again. Attentive staff, a wonderful common room, cuisine to match any other, this place is a must for travelers wanting to be close to the Ngorongoro or, why not, wanting to watch the grass grow away from the troubles of everyday life. Definitely a must for anyone in the area!
An unanticipated gem
We booked this location entirely upon recommendation of the S African tourist group, African Safari Group. It is truly a very special place, very special staff, location, venue, food, everything is great, except the drive up from "town," which was great except the "white knuckle" drive up the hill to this fantastic venue, part of a coffee plantation. Our diver/guide, Solomon is a true expert at getting us up the muddy roads. As NY City people, it takes a great deal to impressus, we were!
We’ve traveled a lot around the world, with 3 kids, and the Manor has been one of the experiences that we will remember for ever. The place is incredibly beautiful, surrounded by a coffee plantation, with amazing gardens, relaxing terraces and really comfortable rooms. It’s a cozy oasis just outside the gorgeous Ngorongoro park. Beyond the facility, what makes a real difference is the service that we received from the moment we arrived. Every person, every touch point, every small detail was perfect and remains in our hearts.
