Beautiful, restful lodge!
We stayed at this lodge for one night as part of a Lion World Safari. "Wow" is all I can say. Our group of 4 were exhausted after the long flight and this relaxing, peaceful setting was the perfect location to reset before heading to the national parks for our safari. The bar staff and wait staff were attentive. The food was surprisingly wonderful. I say that because I really didn't know what to expect in Africa, but believe me, it was tasty. At breakfast a band of monkeys came for a visit and tried to steal some of our food. It was entertaining to us--the staff? I'm not so sure. Every staff member wanted only our happiness. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we wanted or needed. Even with covid, this lodge staff was professional and cautious--all wearing masks. I felt safe and comfortable here. The attention to detail throughout the property is wonderful. The grounds are lovely with a variety of floral and fauna. The bird song in the morning is something that should not be missed. I would visit again in a heartbeat.
Colonial elegance in lush gardens
The main building which house the restaurant and public lounges is an old Colonial plantation mansion, furnished in period style. The rooms are chalets in the grounds, built with African rondavel style and comfortable furnishings. The grounds are well laid out, but there is no swimming pool.
Beautiful resort with amazing staff
We were treated so well at this resort, from the welcoming fresh watermelon juice to the extremely attentive staff. It’s a beautiful resort, exceptionally clean and well managed— a delicious diversified menu with specialty drinks.
Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, very clean

Below are the problems I faced while staying at Serena lodge Arusha. It took 15 minutes or more for the receptionist to show up! Then after few minutes she gave me the rooms key and then LEFT! I was totally confused cause I don’t know were the rooms and nobody was there to guide me to the room! So I took my suitcase and began walking around finding the rooms like a crazy person😂 After a while it a lovely wise women saw me struggling and helped me out! After all that I arrived at my room and noticed that my balcony door could not be opened and the place was very tiny so I went back to the reception and waited for 10 more minutes for the queen receptionist to show up again and then she apologized and got me a good big room! SERENA please replace your management at the Arusha Serena hotel because they seemed not to give an F Written with love by vishal
