Amazing although expensive
We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel felt intimate yet as a couple in our 30’s we felt we had enough to keep us busy. The restaurants offered great choice, we enjoyed the more formal dining experience in Trysting place to make a change from the more relaxed nights. LOVED bbq night on the beach, you felt you were experiencing the real Caribbean and got to meet some of the chefs. When we arrived we were greeted by a drink and cold towels which was just what we needed. I loved the map of the hotel, meant we could go to our room to relax before heading out in our own time to locate everything. We had a beach front room and although traditional the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a brilliant size. We loved the hammock on the balcony, yes you need mozzy spray but worth it to enjoy the view! We enjoyed our days swapping between the quiet hiding around the lazy river, the busy of the pool bar and the relaxing on the beach front. In all places the staff got to know us and were very attentive yet you felt they weren’t hanging around. Only negative is we went to book for this year and the price had gone up by £2k, it’s starting to reach Maldives prices and as a amazing as the hotel is I don’t think it’s in the same league. We do plan to return one day though!!

We came here for our second anniversary and it was the perfect spot to celebrate! Everything was perfect! Deffo recommend it! Such a beautiful resort with such friendly staff. Great food, great cocktails, amazing things you can do at the hotel in terms of water sports! Scuba diving facilities were spot on too. I’d go again in a heartbeat
We arrived in heaven on the 4th of March this year, we were greeted with smiles and kindness, we received nothing less for the next 14 nights. The security staff( Jeramiah) who looked out for us 24/7to Gio and the other amazing guys who looked after us on the beach, to slim and the other bar staff and all the ladies and gents in the restaurants . I have never been treated with such total and utter care and diligence, the smiles from the staff in the mornings made the start of our day amazing. There are no words to describe the staff at this resort, how can you describe what they gave us and how they made us feel. Again from the bottom of our hearts thank you for giving us the holiday of a lifetime you will never know what it meant to us both. Neil and Lisa Glanville

Coming backhere was liking coming back to a place where you feel comfortable, safe and happy. We had an amazing two weeks. It was so relaxing. I wish everyone well, I hope the staff are coping and will all be there next time we go, because we have every intention of being back there next February/March. Take care everyone xxx
Our Favorite Hotel But Covid Hotel Closing By Senior Team Very Badly Handled
We absolutely love this hotel for all the reasons quoted by other guests and have been several times, but we also were guests the week the hotel left a letter on the bed on our return for the night just saying 'we close on Friday'. This was handled so appallingly by the senior management who then pretty much hid until it was pointed out how upset the guests were so another letter was left on the bed back peddling a little but still not really giving any information, we too had the virgin rep who disappeared from visiting the hotel even though the other reps attended daily - as guests, we were left to try and find out what would happen to us ourselves resulting in days of worry and stress constantly on the phone trying to get help - certainly NOT a restful holiday - more an endurance until the day before the hotel closed we received a letter from virgin saying we were being moved. What i do wish to say is that the pool bar, restaurant bar and restaurant staff and our housekeeper were absolutely amazing even though they were just about to be laid off due to the hotel closing with as much notice given as the guests - You were fantastic still smiling and laughing and doing everything you could to cheer us all up, They are a true credit to the hotel and I hope the company have done everything they can to put them as a top priority as without them guests wouldn't come back. We were moved to another hotel not one we would go to normally and not our cup of tea, there was obviously no compensation we did contact Virgin - who by the way have pulled out of St Lucia anyway. I hope the company look at how this was handled and the impact it may have had on your regular guests and those visiting for the first time during that period , as has already been said the other hotels did not shut as quickly but waited for the last of the guests to depart. I hope to read in the future it has reopened and picked itself back up and the wonderful guys and girls too many to name (pool bar, terrace bar, malabar you know who you are ) are all still there, we do have truly fond memories of you x .
