Simply The Best
What a truly wonderful place this is, from the moment we arrived we were met at the car and taken to the comfy seats for a welcome cocktail. The check-in was very laid back before we were showed to our room. We had a verandah suite which was, spacious, spotless and very comfortable. We went to the beach most days where it was very relaxing and the service was fantastic, not having to move an inch for a drink, ice pop or fruit kebab. They even tidy up your sun lounger with fresh towels when you go to lunch. FOOD : Breakfast was very enjoyable with loads to choose from, special mention to the lady at the egg station, her omelettes were very nice. Lunch was at the malabar mostly for us where we found the food to be very enjoyable and the wine free flowing. They change the choice on the menu every three days and the service was excellent. Evening meal was either at the terrace restaurant , the malabar or the trysting place. All three were fantastic but the latter two were our favourites. Both completely different but both excellent food and service, the trysting would not look out of place in the city of London, special mention to Carmen who was so nice and also Harry. Overall the food at the rendezvous is the best I’ve ever had. Drinks were free flowing wherever you went and the service was of the highest standard. The champagne bar is a great place to start the evening, a glass of bubbles before your evening meal. Overall the rendezvous is a fantastic place to stay and relax. The staff were fantastic, Denson on the beach and especially GUILDFORD either in the champagne bar or the terrace bar this guy was exceptional, very friendly and topping your drink up before finishing your current one, his service was top draw. We don’t normally return to the same place but will make an exception to the rendezvous, can’t wait to return one day.
Amazing experience -one you'll want to repeat time and time again!!
Just returned from another visit to Rendezvous, I was a bit worried that it may not have lived up to my previous experiences, but I shouldn't have worried - it did and more! We had a verandah room whose big advantage is the verandah if it should be raining outside you have plenty of room to lie on the daybed, enjoy the view amidst the 'liquid sunshine'. The room itself was spotless and maintained excellently throughout our stay along with the turndown service , candles and music. The dining is excellent with a choice of the Terrace which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner (mainly a la carte - with themed nights and a barbecue), Malabar - beach 'feet in the sand' restaurant which specialises in fish (but also has non-fish offerings) and good lunchtime range (and late afternoon snacks) Trysting Place - the jewel of the restaurants which has a french flavour and a menu that changed 3 times during our 14 days there. There is also a choice of 9 wines on the all inclusive deal which have earned the restaurant a number of awards and rightly so. Before dinner there is also the champagne hour (7-8.00pm) with a different bottle to experience each night along with some information about the wine and the Gilbert's piano playing - is there a better way of preparing yourself for a wonderful meal whichever option you had chosen. The evening entertainment included the piano bar and daily offerings fro local bands and a disco and even a casino. You can also experience a jazz saxophonist on the beach in the 'bubbles on the beach' as the sun goes down or watch a film on the sand, wine 101 etc. There are lots of activities whilst on the beach the servers come around regularly offering a range of drinks, fresh fruit kebabs and even coconuts! The water sports are great - the Hobie cats are great fun, easy to use and can reach high speeds, the diving was again excellent with much to see and the attraction of the marine park 2 tank dives which you have to pay extra for. If you haven't dived before they provide a try-dive with a session tin the pol before going out in the boat. You can also water ski, stand up boarding, canoeing, doughnut riding all included in your up-front price. There are also a range of 'non-active' events - a spa, a tour of the beautiful gardens, wine 101, a saxophonist on the beach with champagne to watch the sunset ...and more The stars of Rendezvous are the staff with their friendliness, helpfulness and ability to make everyone feel special. The only issue I'd raise is what seemed the increasing number of guests smoking on the beach which I feel the management team need to address before it gets out of hand.
Best holiday ever
Amazing time at this couples resort in September. Food was exceptional, room upgrade to lovely beach room. All staff were so attentive and really made the break special. It’s so good almost want to keep it a secret!
Fabulous but hot!!
Just returned from this fantastic hotel where the temperature was around 32c every day but did feel closer to 40c with the humidity. We stayed in a garden veranda room looking at the lazy river, it had all the amenities that you would ever need including Air Conditioning that was an absolute godsend. The highlights/ Amazing food & drink, fantastic service, comfortable room, so many activities and/or the chance to really just chill and relax. We did a private tour with ‘our toys boat tour’ (on the beach by the water Sports) where we went through the rainforest to the volcano for the mud and hot spring and then to the waterfall ending with a visit to Hotel Chocolate (which was not worth the high tour cost) Great place and very friendly. Highly recommended for couples looking to reconnect.
The Best Kept Secret in the Caribbean
We too were unsure of this "piece of paradise", hearing that it was next to a cemetery and at the end of a runway. Well the airport is for the inter island small planes, so not too many of them, but if you like your aircraft up close on take off this is the place for you. The cemetery is worth a wander round as it is maintained to a very high standard. Right the resort, we have just returned from a 10 night stay and everything we read and you are reading is true. We came with Secret Escapes and they seem to get a great deal, British Airways flight, transfers included and free upgrades to the beach front rooms. We had a room, as requested before we arrived on the third floor, just what we had emailed the resort for. Nice extra touch, they added a bottle of Champagne for us as it was our 35 wedding anniversary. Room spotless for the whole 10 nights, turn down service, extra bottles of water when we needed them and a great view of the caribbean. Service was second to none, all staff super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. In fact I was told off for going to the bar to get a drink. "Next time we will bring it to you on the beach". That is what we are here for, said the nice girls on the beach. (Nica, Liz and Gee O). The excellent service contined in the Champagne bar in the evening with Gilbert on the piano and a very knowledgeable Sean behind the bar. His Champagne talks were excellent. He also told me a very funny joke about fast food in the Caribbean and the KFC brand, but that stays with us lol. The food, all 3 meals, plus snacks was of the highest standard. Special shot to Harry, assisted by Steven in the Trysting Fine Dining Resturant, food to die for, fish and meats cooked to however we wanted it, all served by quality wine.Thank you Harry, you made us very special and happy and we liked you and the team very much. The Malabar lunch and evening resturant too served excellent meals and that was right on the beach. The hotel grounds are kept and maintained well by a team of gardeners and with Al, not the youngest member of the team, but he can still climb the palm trees, chop down the coconuts are serve them to the guests. All in all the reviews you read are true and we will come back, thank you to all the staff for making our hoilday so relaxing. Just one more thing its not the resort, nor the food or the price that make this place special, its THE STAFF they are amazing, all of them xxxxx
