Relaxing Oceanside resort
We had a lovely time at Cap Maison as part of the Peak to the Beach package, which we highly recommend. The villa at Cap was gorgeous, with several lounge areas, 1.5 bathrooms and a private pool. We loved lounging by the pool, eating breakfast on the porch and watching the water. We had dinner on Rock Maison which was the highlight of our trip. Keegan provided amazing service and it was a romantic evening we will never forget. The food at Cliff and the Naked Fisherman was amazing. The risotto at Cliff was the best we had ever had. We also had a couples massage that was amazing. Would highly recommend staying at Cap Maison.
A wonderful escape for two weeks
Two weeks of absolute enjoyment - did not want to leave! Staff very friendly, food excellent, we had a suite with a spectacular view from the roof terrace. The team at the Naked Fisherman are fabulous and have an easy rapport with everyone. The steps to the beach are 'good for you' but don't come here if you are not able to take stairs easily. No children is great, couples or small groups of adults all make for a civilised and easy atmosphere. Fewer tourists meant trips with 3rd parties booked through the hotel were not full enough to always run which meant we ended up with 'private tours' ie just us. Real upside obvious, but expensive! Overall whole holiday surpassed our expectations.
18th Anniversary at Cap Maison
My reviews are generally longish, so bear with me. First, let me commend the reception/concierge staff for making arrangements for us well prior to our arrival. We did the all-inclusive package with helicopter arrival (AWESOME!) and had both the wine cellar dinner and Rock Maison dinner set a few months before we arrived. Deverny and Keizah were incredibly helpful and really fast at responding and thorough in their help. Arrival was smooth (even in the health check and customs lines). We were taken right to the helicopter with 2 other couples and were lifting off within 20 minutes of getting our bags. Our pilot, Owen, was very chill. At check-in, our room was set to go and we were shown the simple ins and outs of the resort and left alone. The large bags arrived about 6:00 that evening. We had a 1 bedroom with rooftop plunge pool (room 22-great sunset and beach views). Everything was clean and in perfect working order. The bedroom A/C (only room that has it) was quite welcome by me as I tend to run warm. The kitchen had a full size fridge stocked daily (2 Piton lagers, 2 Heineken, 2 Cokes, 2 Diet Cokes, large water bottle-also get 2 waters each at nightly turndown-cream, snack bars and chips), a French press, coffee maker, teapot and a selection of tea and coffee if desired. All flatware, glasses, cups and cooking utensils were there I guess if you decide to cook. The huge main floor patio outside a large living and dining room was a great place for morning yoga. The rooftop was the “it” factor, though. Massive (largest we’ve ever had) plunge pool and a deck with 4 lounges, a table with 4 chairs, hammock, sink and mini-fridge. A couple of days we only left the pool to grab drinks-it was that perfect. We ate all our breakfasts and the Cliff. The menu changes daily but there are always eggs to order, omelette to order and fruit available. All-inclusive means you don’t have to sign for anything at breakfast. In fact, only tips and off label drinks were not covered. Lunches were a combo of room service or the Naked Fisherman. The NF menu is on the website but suffice to say the fish is fresh and the spices are lovely. Mac makes great drinks for you there and for your beach time as well. Remember when you order on the app for room service you can only send through 1 item at a time. Thankfully, the staff knows to wait for the entire order to come through to get it arranged. Just a weird app glitch it seems. The Cliff has a 4-5 day rotating dinner menu. Apps, mains and desserts all change. There are at least 5 apps and 5 mains per menu so even if you see the same menu twice, you can easily get a different option. There was always a land based meat, 2 sea based meats and a vegetarian option present. We ate there 4 nights and never had a bad meal. Our two favorite meals were our Rock and Wine Cellar dinners. The Rock starts out in the bar for a drink or two then a trek down stairs to the Rock setting. Just a beautiful large deck set for 2 right over the waves and looking west to Pigeon Island and the sunset. Valine was our hostess (and also our waitress several other times). She’s hilarious, fun, quick witted and made our time there so very fun. The wine cellar dinner was exactly that. In their cellar surrounded by many hundreds of bottles. This menu was not like the other dinners. Truly a one off and absolutely the best of the best food we had while there. Robinson was our host and sommelier. He helped educate us on not just wines but the history of the resort, island and their rum/rum punch aging process there. He also deserves significant kudos for making our time there special. We wanted to do a catamaran tour to the pitons with snorkeling, etc but there was not enough interest among other guests so we had to settle for snorkeling at smuggler’s cove (which was really good, actually). You can also SUP, kayak and sail from the beach. Aaron will set you up with whatever you need. We took advantage of the gym on 2 days. Easy to reserve and quite extensive as far as equipment. It was very clean. Next door was the honesty bar with a selection of beers, wine, liquor, mixers and water. Nurse George got our Covid antigen tests done 3 days prior to departure. They were back that afternoon and a hard copy was in our check out material. The SUV drive back to the airport made us appreciate the helicopter even more! We never wanted for anything our entire time we were there. The people are just lovely, the resort is gorgeous and the views are to die for. You cannot go wrong staying here in our opinion.
I recently spent 8 nights at Cap Maison. It was truly a wonderful resort. The location and scenery are incredible and it is a true paradise with views across the water to Pigeon Point in the morning to the sun setting from The Cliff restaurant in the evening. The food could rival any top restaurant and we ate both at The Cliff and the Naked Fisherman which is located on their private beach. It has a family run vibe with personal service and the staff are wonderful. Huge rooms with lovely decor and extremely well kept and clean. They add touches like providing flip flops for your use on the beach and replenishing the ice buckets daily. I can't recommend Cap Maison highly enough.
A truly wonderful experience
My friend and I just returned from a week at Cap Maison and had a marvelous time. The hotel goes above and beyond to make its guests feel welcome and like they are staying at a “home away from home.” For example, when I arrived at the hotel I was given a tour, including around our villa so that I knew where everything was located. The ice bucket was freshly filled for my arrival, and the hotel also left out welcome cookies and a premixed rum punch. The bathroom is equipped with big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, as well as hand sanitizer, after sun spray and other conveniences for COVID times. We also very much appreciated the mosquito nets on the beds (yes, Saint Lucia does have quite a few mosquitos and my friend who has traveled there before said her prior hotel stays didn’t have mosquito nets). That, coupled with very comfortable beds and AC in the bedrooms ensured we slept very well. The staff also went above and beyond and always delivered service with a smile. One of our favorite employees, Deanna, picked flowers and arranged them in one of our room service orders, and she helped us book a brunch at Rock Maison (a MUST do). Dunstan was such a delight who went out of his way to give us a comfortable setup on the beach (try the lounge beds - they are great!). I also want to give a shout out to Keisha and Corven, who we enjoyed seeing during our meals and always asked about our days and joked around with us. We also did a wine tasting with Robinson, who taught us so much and shared delicious wines that were new to us. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait to go back!
