Days 1-2 Your journey begins with a drive from Colombo to Kandy where you'll stay two nights. This chaotic city is home to the famed Buddhist Temple of the Tooth, Lankatilaka Temple, Gadaladeniya Temple and the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens.

Days 3-4 Spend two nights in the shadow of one of Sri Lanka's most recognised monuments. You'll be well placed to explore the Cultural Triangle and perhaps climb to the top of Sigiriya Rock and take in the epic views of the surrounding countryside.

Days 5-9 Fly across to the east coast and relax on Passikudah's paradise shores for five nights.

Day 10 Return to Colombo, the vibrant capital, where rich history and modern life are effortlessly combined.

Car & driver and flight
Combine a car & driver exploration of the Cultural Triangle with a flight over to the island's spectacular east coast. To discover more about the car & driver portion of the trip, see page 8.

Although Sri Lanka is a relatively small island, getting from coast to coast can often take a few hours by road. If you’re short on time, want to avoid long road transfers or you just want to experience the beauty of the island from the air, an internal flight is the ideal solution. Providing both scheduled and charter flights, Cinnamon Air is a premium domestic air taxi service operating from their hub at Colombo airport.

This itinerary is just a suggestion and we can create a car and driver itinerary that's unique to you. You can choose your hotel and the length of time you would like to stay. You can also add a range of authentic experiences to enhance your Sri Lanka adventure; see page 5 for a taste of what we offer.
