A True Paradise
From the moment you're welcomed by the traditional drummers you are submersed in the most beautiful and relaxing environment. The staff are outstanding and their attention to detail goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back.
We had 6 nights here at the end of our Sri Lankan trip. I was a little nervous about staying in such a big hotel but it never felt in anyway big as everything is so personal and the space so large. The staff were all delightful , Sri Lankan hospitality at it’s very very best . We stayed in a pool villa and were looked after by Tharanga for whom nothing was too much trouble , he was always one step ahead of us in foreseeing what we might want or need . We are particularly into nature and I strongly urge anyone visiting to join Eddie on his morning walk, he is so knowledgeable and charming and there is so much going on that should not be missed , from turtles hatching to the extraordinary bird life . Food was exceptional and the location idyllic. Can’t recommend it more highly .
Excellent Staff and Service for Large Chain Hotel, Restaurants Need Improvement
The staff and service here, as well as the villas, are superb. That said, it is a large chain hotel geared to providing meals, facilities, etc., to numerous guests at a time. The coffee shop/buffet restaurant is satisfactory, but quite busy, since many guests opt for the half-board basis. We did have one very good meal from the ala carte menu. We found one of the other restaurants, Il Mare, to be overpriced and understaffed, resulting in waiters rushing to and fro, and a red snapper filet which can best be described as mediocre. The villa rooms are lovely and spacious, each with its own pool, and given the restaurant quality, we opted for room service on more than one occasion. Having stayed at both the Anantara Peace Haven and the Anantara Kalutara in Sri Lanka, our preference is definitely Kalutara for its more personal service and better food quality and ambience in its restaurants. Our thanks to our villa staff for providing wonderful service and help throughout our stay. Room Tip: Book a villa. NB
Really nice hotel and staff
We stayed in this hotel for 10 days in a pool garden villa. The villa was beautiful and our buttler Isuru couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was noisy and crowded, which is pretty much the only negative in my opinion. The Italian restaurant and the Sri Lankan restaurant were good. The beach is dangerous (swimming prohibited) but the pools are very beautiful and well maintained. We would especially like to thank Isuru and Perrine for their kindness during our stay and for organizing our renewal of wedding vows. It was in 2018 already ....
Amazing stay at Anantara Peace Heaven
My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the resort. Everything was perfect and the hotel employees were super helpful when it came to organizing my wedding proposal. Special thanks to Sayuri, who was our Guest Relations Officer during our stay 😊 I can highly recommend the resort if you’re looking for a luxury escape from your daily life!!!
