We visited hotel on 14th January 2021with my kids and daughter in law honeymoon night...... From reception to room hospitality service was brilliant and extra care. Teams were willing to assist us whenever we need help. I am taking this opportunity to gratetude to few staff name which i was remember, Roshan FO, Nissanka, Ashan, Rohan, Bhagya, Kalum (F&B team) made our stay memorable.
Very pleasant stay
Had a great stay at the Citadel and regretted it had to be only a day. Ultra clean room, they have taken lot of precautions , sealed fresh towels, toiletries, tea and coffee in zip locked bags, hand sanitizer in the room and plenty more in common areas. Sanitized surfaces, pens etc., One feels safer. Superb food and in a very clean restaurant , a buffet for all three meals ( we expected a la carte/set menu given the low occupancy)served by a very friendly chef and a staff. Very pleasant stay indeed and would do it again asap.
An ideal place in Kandy
A beutifully landscaped garden adjacent to Mahavaly river with friendly staff and clean rooms. Delicious food and beverages along with calming atmosphere. An ideal place to take break in Kandy. Sri dalada maligawa within 20 minute reach.
Excellent 👍 hotel, the staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. Nice view of the mahaweli river. Definitely recommended .the rooms are also very nice and clean. If you want to be sure you are safe and you also wanna have a holiday, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Even though we live just close by to the hotel we hadn’t gone their recently. My family had gone but I think I have not been to the hotel in ages. And I didn’t know what to expect. I had the opportunity to visit the Cinnamon Citadel for dinner on the invitation of Chef . I’m really thankful for him. I have to say I was really impressed with how the hotel has changed. And I will definitely visit the hotel next time during day time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. And moving on to the dinner ♥️ It was large spread with Italian, Srilankan, Indian and many more. I really loved the naan, and the pasta. But the highlight for me was the dessert section. That mousse 🥰🥰I wish I had eaten second servings from it. Regret it now. The opera cake was also fab. And the fudge too. Overall it was totally worth it. Loved the humble environment. Looking forward to visit again. And to everyone out here in Kandy, do try their cakes. I repeat try Cinnamon Citadel cakes. I enjoyed four cakes while chilling at home during the holidays. I tried the opera cake, the Christmas cake, the trimasu, and the coffee and chocolate gateau. My favorite was the gateau. I usually don’t eat too much cause I’m concerned about the calories. But these cakes made me go “oh why not” and I stuffed my face with these cakes because believe it was really wonderful. The gateau melts in your mouth and It is one of the best I have tasted. I never was a trimasu fan, but couldn’t resist eating even before taking a photo🤣 So concluding with a high note visit the cinnamon citadel if you have not and do try the cakes♥️♥️♥️
