Nice Bungalow

We stayed 2 nights at Kottukal Beach House By Jetwing. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. Lovely balcony and common areas. The pool was well maintained, and staff polite and attentive. Walked along the beach in the company of the two resident dogs (Dan and Birdy!). It would be lovely if the hotel could keep the beach clean, although the trash washes up from elsewhere. Or if they can ensure the local authority does their job in maintaining a clean beach. We went for dinner to Jetwind Surf, where the food, service and ambience was out standing! Had a good time. Thank you.

The most relaxed I have felt in a long time.

Everywhere we looked was as pretty as a picture. It was like being in a postcard! But what really made the stay a joyful experience was the very attentive and kind staff members, the excellent cooking and the general atmosphere of the place. The rooms were beautiful, clean and all with enviable views of the ocean. If you are looking for a place to relax and mellow out in, then this is the place for you.

Luxury Bungalow Experience

Close to both Arugam Bay and the Kumana national park, it's suited to beach bums and nature lovers alike. We went there on a family visit to Kumana, so it was a luxury Safari bungalow experience with A/C. (I recall childhood trips with my dad and mom staying at bungalows inside the parks. The real Safari experience). The bungalow has 4 rooms, but on the occasion we visited (during the occupy Galle face and fuel crisis) we had it to ourselves. Great chef. Try local cuisine: crabs and wattalappan.

A beach house with an amazing ambiance, perfect hospitality and a private beach!

KOTTUKAL BEACH HOUSE ,A cozy villa which is the perfect holiday get away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Our stay at Kottukal Beach house was nothing short of perfect. We were lucky enough to be the only guests that day, and thoroughly enjoyed our 'away-time'. Special mention must be made about the personal butler Aasif and chef Naseem, who took care of us and made sure we felt right at home. Not forgetting Birdy and Dan, the two extremely friendly and protective (and chubby :P ) K9's who kept us company during our stay. The only downside is that they dont' have Liquor license, therefore make sure to buy your booze on the way(Wellawaya or Siyambalanduwa)

It’s was a memorable stay by the beach in a Bunglow which was all for ourselves in the east coast of Sri Lanka. Peaceful location and the attitude and service by the service Hasif was excellent. Kumana park in close proximity make this location even more valuable and suitable
