A truly special gem.
The most beautiful and peaceful hotel. I would give them a six star if I could. I have travelled the world, and I have stayed at some of the most exclusive hotels. Hands down this is one of the top ones. The service is incredible and the place is kept spotless. I have never seen so much cleaning and disinfecting in a hotel. It was done very discreetly. The spa facility was gorgeous. I will be back. Thank you to the staff and management for making our stay so special.
Journey in History
This palace has everything that Cordoba can show - Starting with 2000 years old house in the basement to 300 years old garden, baths and totally modern interior and art. Located right in city center - with valet parking and super staff.
· The images on the internet of this hotel cannot do it justice It is a charming hotel which was originally a private residence and it has been beautifully restored aesthetically in a modern way yet respecting its heritage There are a series of courtyards which makes it more open yet private We have a deluxe double room which was a class act with all the facilities and amenities you would need of high quality including the toiletries The Roman bath was beautifully constructed and a great asset for colder months Also one of the courtyards has a swimming pool and also gets sun most of the day in addition to pool restaurant The breakfast was everything you could wish for with great choice Spanish and international hot and cold and the floor was glassed looking down on a roman archeological excavation 2nd century AD Five star hotel in everyday
A HISTORIC SPOT IN A MODERN JEWELBOX.
This place is beautiful, the service is excellent, the staff extremely helpful, for luggage and car park as well, no complain. The rooms are big nice and clean. We haven't tried the restaurants, Cordoba's juderia has some excellent restaurants, 15 minutes walking distance. Access to the hotel not particularly easy, also access to some rooms needs you to climb up some stairs. Minor things as compared to overall quality.
We just didn’t like it.
One of those places that is “fancy” without being elegant. Our junior suite had poor layout, weird bathroom fixtures, including a shower that could not be used without flooding the floor, impractical lighting, and windows facing an inner courtyard that didn’t let in much light and afforded no privacy unless the heavy wooden shutters were closed. Kind of a worst of the old and worst of the new. The breakfast service was very, very, very slow. We had to wait forever to get a cup of coffee, even though there were only 7 occupied tables and 4 waiters. Also, we found the location quite inconvenient, at the other end of town from the main Cordoba attractions like the Mezquita and Alcazar. The area was stodgy and empty. Skip this place for somewhere in the main square, the Juderia or right by the Puerta Almodovar. The whole place was just a big pain in the neck at a high price, unlike so many truly luxurious hotels in Europe. The atmosphere felt joyless and dour.
