New Year 2021
We stayed at this wonderful hotel last christmas. It is an old spanish palazzo with a modern part of the hotel attached/ right next to it. In 2020 we were the only guests (Covid), in 21 we stayed in the new part of the hotel. Both rooms were exceptionel. Staff was very friendly. Located in the Middle of the old town center, just 2 minutes to the main square. Highly recommended. Many nice excellent restaurants in walking distance. (room for improvement: breakfast was good but not special. For a 5 star a bit more love and variety would be welcomend€
Hospes Palacio de los Patos is an elegant, wonderful hotel in an excellent location in Granada. The hotel has an 'old part' and a 'new part'. We stayed in the old part which was beautiful with a great atmosphere. The entire experience of staying at the hotel (from reserving, booking SPA treatments, checking in, getting the car parked, the staff, the restaurant) was fantastic. Excellent staff made our stay even better.
Gorgeous hotel in a great location
The hotel is really amazing. We had an incredible room - very large, gorgeous, and well done. And we were able to walk everywhere from the hotel - shopping, good restaurants, and of course the Al Hambra. The only downside was that it was noisy at night from street noise/people - perhaps get a back room and it'll be better Wish we were there more nights as the hotel is so nice - as were all the people that worked there!
BEWARE if you’re not a white traveler!!
Being a lifetime platinum at Marriott, I’ve always received some extra benefit even if it’s just a nicer room in the same category. This hotel treated me and my wife like CRAP! They informed us the hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t upgrade us (which is understandable) but then proceeded to put us a room right next to the street where we could hear loud street noise till 3 am! And no closet in the room either. Then when I asked for a late checkout till 4 pm according to platinum rules, I was refused. Not sure why this hogek is rated so highly, perhaps they don’t like Asian travelers. Never coming back!
Good hotel at very central location
We stayed at the traditional part of the hotel, which is very interesting. It feels like we are living in the old Spanish noble home. The service was very good. The front desk helped us planning our local sightseeing and restaurant reservations. The room was very clean. It is very walkable to all major sites from the hotel. The only odd part about the hotel was to get the luggage over the big steps into the lobby. There was no one to help with that. I noticed other guests struggled with this too..
