Myself and my husband went for a day trip to the spa here and it was pure bliss. The spa facilities were incredible and the treatments were so relaxing. Everything about the place was the epitome of a relaxing spa experience. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back before we head home
10 minutes from the airport and we were in heaven. Thanks to Jet2 holidays and the wonderful Secrets Hotel being open. Obviously it was very quiet during our 10 day stay but on meeting the lovely Veronica in reception we knew we had chosen well. We asked how much it would cost to upgrade to a Privilege swim up room and at 90 euros a night a bit steep but we decided to take the plunge after all it was Xmas. Only trouble was the swim up pool was freezing cold and not really usable. I think we enjoyed the two glasses of Prosecco too much whilst waiting for the room key .Veronica said we could have a bottle delivered to the room FOC A really nice touch that but after going into the local supermarket and buying a bottle for 2 euros 50 cents thought they weren’t giving away to much. The views were amazing the junior suite room was massive including a king size bed. Mini filled up every day free beer, wine and water. Super service in the breakfast area the staff being so attentive, we thought the lack of some decent bread a let down but didn’t spoil our stay. We walked out and 10 minutes away along a stunning coastal boardwalk ate out in the Port of La Caleta every night in a different restaurant , brilliant food and really cheap prices. We hired E bikes and cycled to Del Carmen which was fun seeking a resort obviously suffering through lack of people restaurants and bars shut so sad, The whole secrets experience was wonderful , weather fabulous and we would definitely recommend a must for adult only stays.
Loved the place
Very Lovely hotel, enjoyed my stay there. Everyone working there was very kind and helpful. But I have to say my most enjoyable experience was my treatment in the spa facility thanks to Dolores who is amazing at her job.
A great hotel in Lanzarote
We booked to say for 3 nights, however, when we were at the hotel we extended for an extra 3, it was that good. We had a privilege club room, which was excellent, the added benefits that came with it were excellent too, from additional drinks to lunch time dining options. The room was exactly as it looked on the website, very spacious with a huge bathroom area and plenty of storage. Toiletries were Secrets branded but very good. Bathrobes, slippers and beach towels were all provided and there was a huge TV which connectivity for netflix etc. The best part of the hotel was the staff, everyone who we came into contact with was charming and worked really hard to ensure you had the best time possible. The hotel was running on very low occupancy when we stayed, if I was to guess I would say 10/20 percent. given, the extensive facilities on offer this must present a huge challenge to the hotel management. What the hotel did was alternate the facilities so that you were able to enjoy them all, without the need for them to be open at the same time. So for example the A la carte restaurants opened on rotation - during our time there we ate at 4 different restaurants. The pool bar was open in the day and the main bar at night, yes there were one or two other facilities that were closed - but in the circumstances the hotel are doing an outstanding job of delivering a high end all inclusive experience. Chloe from guest relations was wonderful providing me with lots of information prior to arrival too! I would love to see the hotel when it is running at proper occupancy and so I hope to return in the not to distant future. I have noticed a few negative reviews of late for the hotel, I really must say I don't agree with them. On the same trip I stayed in another hotel in Lanzarote and one on Fuerteventura. This hotel, was hands down the best! The spa at the hotel is truely 5*, very professional, yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for. it's no mickey mouse set up! So much so that I had three massages during my time there. My only suggestion would be to allow some form of free access to the aqua circuits when you book a massage, rather than having to pay and additional fee. I just want to say a final thank you to some of the staff that really stood out to me. Konte on reception was super friendly and gave us the warmest of welcomes! The waitress with the long blonde hair was fabulous and was always looking after us and the young lady from Chile (I think) who worked at the lounge were all wonderful. That said everyone from the maintenance staff, housekeeping and cooks were wonderful. If you are travelling to the hotel soon and are worried about poor reviews I would say don't. In the world we are living in today you have to readjust your expectations - as long as you do you'll have a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for an excellent stay.
This expensive hotel offers half of what is shown on the website and on booking. Apparently, you have to be a preferred client to enjoy certain services (40 euros per day), and using the spa is 15 euros per person per hour. In addition, all almost all the restaurants and bars are closed due to corona (without any compensation for the customer). What a shame for this price.
