Restaurants & bars

Secrets Lanzarote has a wide range of restaurants to choose from, starting with the casual all-day World Café. The varied options at the breakfast buffet mean you can have something completely different every morning if you want, and later in the day there are dishes from around the globe to savour. The flavours of Italy are on offer at Portofino à la carte restaurant, which has a good selection for vegetarians, or you can take your taste buds further afield at Gohan, where the sushi and other Asian-style dishes come with spectacular sea views. There’s more fish at Oceana, whose focus is fresher-than-fresh seafood cooked to perfection on the grill. There are two poolside venues: Barefoot Grill is for laidback light lunches and the dressier Bluewater Grill will appeal to steak lovers.

Five bars cater to every mood and taste, and several serve food as well. La Habana is the outdoor lobby bar that opens in the evening for cocktails overlooking the Atlantic. The chic Piano Bar is another nighttime venue, with live music to add to the ambience. For fans who can’t bear to miss a game, Half-Time Sports Bar has all your favourite drinks and giant screens; it’s an altogether quieter scene at Sugar Reef, the seaside cocktail bar with direct access to the beach. The last of the five is The Lounge, an exclusive pool bar just for Preferred Club guests that’s open during the day. Finally, there’s Coco Café for coffee, tea, smoothies and sandwiches.
