A hotel whose pleasure is to help you
Travelling in these times can be stressful. One needs a hotel that lifts the burden. This is it...and so much more. There was simply nothing they could do that was too much trouble. Covid test - onsite sir! (and at a reasonable cost), Slight shower leak - fixed in hours, car hire - at the hotel the next day, excursion - on the hotel's own boat . The list simply goes on. I have rarely come across such genuinely helpful and charming reception staff. The rooms and public areas are spotless and the food and waiting staff all one would expect. This is the hotel to stay at in Puerto Pollensa. It is far enough away from the centre to be quiet, yet close enough to be accessible to the facilities and the market. We played tennis each day on the hotel's court. The hotel benefits from having the Terrassa Restaurant that juts out into the sea and thus provides a magical experience. The associated bar has the same benefits. The sun deck has similar facilities. Drawbacks? The pool is small, fine for cooling down, but not a swimmer’s pool. It does not get sun until about 11.30. The sundeck is on the small side. There is an unholy scrummage for loungers. Frankly if you did not blag a bed with a towel by 08.30, you had no chance. We refused to take part, but sunbed and lie in may be mutually exclusive. Overall this was a stay we will cherish, principally because of the lovely staff and unmatched setting.
Excellent stay, definitely be back
Had a fabulous stay in August this year. Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff throughout and our room which said "partial sea view balcony room" exceeded expectations and had a wonderful view. Choice of breakfast was good although if I had to give a suggestion it would be to move the omelette station away from being in the middle of the hot food items as this caused quite a queue and confusion. Sitting outside eating breakfast with the most wonderful views was a definite highlight. I would also say I do like cocktails to be in the correct glasses, this is a small bug bear of mine with other places but a martini should be served in a martini glass, that's what they are for, similar I like my wine in a wine glass, not a tumbler! The hotel sits round the bay from all the other restaurants and shops which we found lovely although the hotel could probably make loads of money by having a small shop onsite saving the walk but hey ho. We used the indoor hotel spa area although one thing was you had to call in advance to turn on sauna or steam room which we didn't know and actually couldn't get the concierge to answer but no biggie. Staff were fab even putting the large tv inside onto the football for my husband one day. Hope we can return, perhaps next time when schools are back as there were a lot of families during August summer time so we'll probably choose a quieter time to go next time.
Beautiful hotel and location
We did not actually stay at the hotel, however we visited it nearly every day to use the beautiful Sunset Terrace bar, which is right next to the sea. The staff are efficient, the drinks and bar menu fantastic.. however what sells this to us is the location, a beautiful walk along the renowned Pine Walk from the centre of the resort to reach this hotel and then to sit next to the sea and look back over the coast line and out to the marina and the sea beyond is a treasure. I had a look around the common areas in the hotel its self and it is beautiful, we are back only a few days from Majorca and have already booked to return to Puerto Pollenca and we are going to treat ourselves to a couple of nights here too.
The only place to stay in Puerto Pollensa
We first came here over 20 years ago, and it is better than ever. It does benefit from a spectacular position, but the ambience, facilities, food and standard of service are all second to none. Rooms are beautifully clean and modern, and a balcony makes all the difference. The meals both in the beach bar and especially in La Terrassa restaurant we’re superb. It is the only place to be in Puerto Pollensa.
A beautiful hotel in a stunning setting, with staff to match
My husband and our two children stayed in one of the hotel-owned apartments behind the hotel which are beautifully appointed and equipped and have access to a gorgeous large swimming pool which our children made the most of. But the highlight of our stay was the welcome we received from the staff and the hotel-owned boat trip that we took - a memory to be treasured forever. The location is fabulous - swimming and snorkelling are literally on the doorstep. We did struggle to find sun bed space on the sea front on a couple of occasions - if there were any way to increase the space to accommodate some more, I've not doubt they'd be welcomed. The breakfast buffet is second to none. But the hands down star of the show is Joan at the front desk - so helpful, competent and above all friendly and kind. That said, all the staff were amazing - thank you all!
