Fantastic 11 Night Stay!
I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Jardin Del Sol Suites. The hotel staff could not do enough for you, and especially during the difficult Covid times. I would like to provide a special mention to Cyril at the hotel bar, he worked tirelessly during the day and the evening to ensure all guests felt fully catered for, he provided a special 1 on 1 service. Sandra and Fernando in the hotel restaurant welcomed us each night, and ensured we had a truly personal service. Other mentioned should go to Rafa and Ivan at the pool bar who came round all day ensuring all guests had a drink, saving you having to go up to the pool bar each time. We celebrated my father's Birthday during our stay, and Enrique the hotel manager ensured he celebrated in style providing us each with a glass of cava and providing a hand made cake. This was a truly special touch thank you! We also received a full bottle of cava in the room to celebrate. The hotel facilities are fantastic, having stayed 5 or 6 times, we have tried varying rooms. We persoanlly feel star prestige is not worth the extra cost and you are best staying in the main area of the hotel, unless you get a special offer on the star prestige area. We stayed half board and found both the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet catered for all needs, with dinner featuring various themes during our 11 night stay. We found the food was varied enough, to ensure you are not bored with the same thing each evening, which can be the case in other hotels. You can see small improvements each time in the hotel decor, modernising it after each stay. The only small negative I would say is the rooms are now getting a little tired and require renovation / modernisation. But I am sure this will come with time! Thank you again Iberostar Jardin Del Sol, for the fantastic stay! We look forward to returning some time shortly. The hotel was fully covid safe, with all staff wearing masks and hand sanitiser freely available throughout the hotel. The hotel/ tourism industry is doing all it can to survive at the moment, so please try and bare this in mind when reviewing / staying at hotels at this time.
Disappointed - not as expected
Good points - good super king size bed, lovely buffet breakfast, great sea views, clean pool , efficient check in, nice staff, free use of SUP if wanted, comfortable sun beds, plentiful hot water, good maid service. Child free hotel. Bad points - WiFi poor in pool area, only one bed side plug socket, strange bathroom open to the sitting area, battered coffee table in room, really tiny balcony, broken blind in bedroom, shower fittings spray faulty Noisy daily pool side activities (5 times a day x 45 mins - 3hrs 45 mins of loud music every day) - exercise bikes in the pool with a boombox playing rap music, aqua aerobics with loud music and shouting & whistling instructors, yoga class with a big speaker held 12 feet from resting guests. Salsa class was also set up with the boombox in same area and a few guests complained and it was turned off but only because no one showed up for the class. Activities attended by a handful of people disturbing the majority who don’t want to participate. Dont mind others enjoying activities but the music is so loud you can’t snooze through it or even hear your own music through your own head phones. Misleading images on travel agent booking page (EasyJetHolidays) ….beware as this might be the same on other sites - two of the three pools & bar with outdoor seats & lamps overlooking the sea in the photos are only available to Prestige Star customers. These facilities were one of the key reasons we booked ……. But we have only the main pool and one bar accessible to us. Nowhere on the booking page does it make this clear. Paid £1200 for B&B …… feel a bit ripped off to be totally honest. For the quality of the room & facilities we have available to us we could have booked much cheaper elsewhere in the resort. There is also some noise from the suites below - people with their own speakers. P.s. if you’re not a smoker avoid the right hand side of the sun bed area by the SUPs as that is the designated smoker’s corner where people come to have a cigarette
Always a pleasure to stay here
Again we had a wonderful time at the Iberostar Jardin del Sol Suites. Good to see that more or less all is open again, Ricardo and his team in the restaurant made every meal to a happy and relaxed time, even when the restaurant was fully booked was the team 100% there. Only thing we missed after staying with Iberostar Jardin Del Sol Suites for some times now, is the opportunity to have "a la carte" serving and not only buffet. The buffet is good and quality is high, but the possibility to have tabel serving is missing.
Absolutely incredible stay. Amazing staff!!
Wow. I travel a lot but this stay has been the best hotel in all my EU travels. I’m not usually a fan of Buffett food but the quality of the food was incredible, you can’t get bored because there’s so much high quality choice. The staff in the kitchen and restaurant are absolutely lovely, such sweet, hardworking people- every single one of them! Everyday we were surprised with something new, cava for breakfast or a champagne welcome drink. It was great! The staff by the pool, the staff in reception and especially the staff in the restaurant were all a credit to this hotel. I wish I was able to thank the cleaners who cleaned our room perfectly every single day, but I kept missing them. The room cleaners, pool cleaners and facility cleaners were all so hard working. We felt safe throughout our stay, everything was actively cleaned and masks were mandatory. The views from around the hotel are breathtaking. My only issue was how some of the guests treated the staff, some people’s attitude was embarrassing. Especially when people are running into the kitchens demanding water because they can’t wait long enough for the staff (who are run off their feet) to give them table service. The staff handled the rudeness with absolute dignity. Honestly, I couldn’t rave more about this hotel or staff anymore!! The pool was a perfect temperature, the sea was stunning, with amazing secret locations. My only wish was that the salsa lessons were on more than once a week because I missed it! Beautiful place and beautiful people, the reviews saying this hotel is average obviously don’t appreciate great food, beautiful scenery and hardworking staff.
Superb 10 night stay from 28th. August.
Great hotel with stunning views. Excellent buffet breakfast and evening meals with wide array of choices and quality cuisine . All COVID rules adhered to by hotel and staff there but not always by the hotel's guests. Great facilities , evening entertainment and free watersports ,such as paddle boarding. The girls who ran the activities and watersports' area were very hardworking and fun and helpful. From all what myself & partner witnessed we would say Iberostar are a quality outfit with well trained staff who seemed genuinely keen to supply superb service levels. They seemed happy and eager to help and always with a smile. Special mentions to the brilliant restaurant staff...Sandra, Fernando and ' Naidar' to name but 3. Our apologies for any poor spelling or omissions. Great snorkeling opportunities off the front of the hotel and only about a 10 minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Very happy to recommend this hotel. We stayed in Room 1826. All rooms have sea view balconies. Thanks, Pete & Wendy.
