We booked a last minute break to Portals. After the stress of lockdown back home we really needed a relaxing holiday. We have been to Portals many times but this is our first stay here. We booked the penthouse suite with sea view as we wanted some relaxing outdoor space where we didn’t have to worry about the Covid rules and mask wearing. We have not been disappointed. We arrived early morning and were greeted with a glass of champagne and whisked away to enjoy it on a terrace overlooking the sea whilst the check in staff took care of the paperwork. A nice surprise was also that our room was ready. The staff on check in were amazing, explaining everything about the hotel and the local Covid regulations in a friendly and knowledgeable way, we felt at ease from the second we walked through the doors. The hotel have gone to great lengths to put additional standards of cleanliness in place in light of the current pandemic. They have thought of absolutely everything and it makes the whole stay hassle free. Especially at a time like this. The work the hotel management must have put in to minimising Covid disruption and in a relatively short space of time is unreal. The rooms are cleaned twice a day to ensure high traffic areas of contact are cleaned often. The mini bar is filled upon request so you don’t need to worry that a previous guest has touched anything. They have removed most single use plastics from the rooms too. Fresh water is brought to you twice per day and there is also a turn down service. You cannot fault the room, I honestly have never slept in a bed so comfortable and I’ll be sad to leave! The rooms are absolutely lovely. So spacious and everything you need. Honestly the website and reviews I’ve read previously have not done this hotel justice. There is a dyson hairdryer in the room which was a great find because I’d had to abandon my hairdryer in the airport as it was too heavy! It maybe would be handy to have a full length mirror but that is my only suggestion. Christina the maintenance lady made sure our whirlpool was at the temperature we needed every day. In fact, we asked for a number of things through the stay and this then became intuitive from the staff thereafter. I wish I could remember all of the names of the staff to thank them individually because honestly they went above and beyond. The concierge is available via an app which is a stroke of genius. We didn’t use the hotel restaurant but only because we have favourite restaurants in Portals and Port Adriano that we like to visit but I’m sure if the rest of the hotel is anything to go by this would also not disappoint. Next time we are in Portals, my boyfriend has been told we won’t be staying in our usual hotel and instead we will be staying here haha! If you are in two minds whether to book a break during the pandemic, I would urge you to book here, no question about it! Could not fault this hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing and were always willing to go over an above. The location is brilliant with just a 5 minute drive to the portals and 15minutes to the old town. Will hopefully be back! Thank you
Very pleasant stay
The Hotel is really The place to discover and looks like all the descriptions. We had a "Standard Room", really nice with small balcony heading to the swiminng pool and the "Patio", modern desing with "The Eye" looking at you. The front office team is totally customer dedicated, special thanks to Pepi, she managed our stay with the highest efficiency, very professional and allways available when needed, she was a key to the success of our stay. Concerning hygiene and COVID 19 measure, all the team of the Hotel is on the ball, rooms are cleaned twice a day (in the morning, and when you are back from the beach, to prepare the room for the night and to clean the sand, you came with...). hydro alcoholic gel dispensers are available every where in the hotel, the bars and the restaurant (ASTIR), displays remembering good practices are fixed near the lifts or at all entries. Wearing facial protection in the hotel is mandatory and of course a good decision. For the meals, Astir Restaurant is available, and the menus (available through QR code) is fine. As where started our stay the first day after the re opening of the restaurant, some fine tunings where necessary but rapidly corrected and deployed. restaurant team is active, and responsive. Last point : the hotel is located really on the beach (30 meters), so walking to the city center (500m) is not that far but the slope is a little bit pronounced, don't be surprised! Water is clear and the beach adapted for children. Just for info : the beach offers sun beds and parasol for 13,50 euros per day (2 sun beds and a parasol) to be payed to the lifeguard on duty. On the beach you can have a snack at the beach bar (not belonging to the hotel), cash and credit card accepted. To conclude it was a pretty nice and relaxing stay thanks to Pepi and Hotels' team.
we celebrated our 54 th wedding anniversary in this hotel September 2019 it didn't disappoint in any way , the staff were excellent,food very good I ate fruit there I had never even seen before.all round an excellent hotel .
What an amazing hotel. I booked a corporate event, 25 in total and I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff were. From our first visit to the hotel to plan all the events to our meet and greet arrival, through to our departure, all the staff were absolutely outstanding. The emails back and forth to Carla and Leonora arranging the itinerary for our long weekend trip allowed me to plan a superb trip for our colleagues. With a superb welcome reception and gala dinner, everyone was so helpful and couldn't' do enough to make our stay very enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for any corporate event or even a nice weekend away with your partner.
