beautiful and charming resort
loved my experience at Belmond - nothing could fault the Deia location but the resort too it to another level. had a peaceful 3 nights here and could have easily stayed for weeks and weeks. The pool, the food and the charm was fantastic. all the staff and the service was second to none. the location made for a good base to explore with a couple of nice coves and restaurants nearby.
We stayed at this place from 10/26-10/30. By far the most magical place I have ever stayed at. Everything from our room to service to food was amazing. The facility is absolutely stunning. We were upgraded to one of the upper level exclusive rooms, which was absolutely ridiculous. If you are going to Mallorca and have the money to spend, this is by far the best place to stay at.
Absolutely stunning property, service needs some work
First of all, this is the most beautiful setting of any hotel I have ever seen. Absolutely incredible location and truly could not be a more gorgeous hotel with amazing views. However, the service often left a bit to be desired. We had asked the hotel to make a reservation for us at a restaurant that requires a 2 hour hike to get to and they quickly confirmed the time. When we arrived to the restaurant, we were told a reservation was never made.... We later found out that they had dropped the ball and never been able to get through to the restaurant, but never let us know. Again, we hiked for two hours to this restaurant which is the only restaurant for miles and ended up having to wait over an hour to be seated. Secondly, we signed up for a morning boat tour through the hotel but when we showed up our name was not on the list... Again, another major communication issue with the team who had told us that we were confirmed. Something else to note is that there are SO many children at this hotel. I am sure this is a lovely option for families, but as a couple traveling and looking for a quiet, relaxing hotel experience, we were a bit disappointed. I really wish they would make this an adults only hotel. Overall, this hotel is absolutely stunning and we loved the location (you can walk and hike everywhere), but we will probably rent a home in Deia next time we visit to avoid all of the screaming children and the frustration of the service issues.
My husband and I had 2 weeks here in October. The service at this hotel is amazing and every thing you would want it to be. The food, the staff, the ambience are all terrific and it’s beautiful. I can’t speak highly enough of it.
We feel incredibly lucky to have stayed at La Residencia before, therefore deciding where to stay for our 20th wedding anniversary, it became immediately our first choice. Deia itself is beautiful . A small, very peaceful village with incredible restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, high up in the Tramuntana mountains. La Residencia is the jewel in its crown. The gardens are well maintained, as are both of the outdoor pools and spa. The rooms are beautiful and individually decorated with pieces from local artists, but what stands out from the onset is the impeccable service from all of the staff. Each member clearly happy to be there and happy to assist with any of your desires. We were greeted with a glass of cava and shown by Tony to our room. A stunning suite with its own plunge pool high up with the most breathtaking views. Our bed was decorated with petals in the shape of a heart and a bottle of cava chilling on ice as a welcome. Having only left our children twice in 20 years to spend time on our own, this heartfelt welcome, the suite and all of these little touches made our trip SO, SO special. It created a memory we will simply never forget and we cannot thank Tony and the hotel enough. We will return, With Love X
