Machu Picchu From the Scared Valley, wnjoy a day trip to the ancient fortification of Ollantaytambo and the hidden city of Machu Picchu. There'll be time to explore the ruins and picture what life was like for the city's inhabitants before enjoying tea at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge and travelling by train back to the Sacred Valley.

What to expect
STAY & CRUISE ITINERARY
Day 1 UK to Lima, Peru Depart from the UK on your flight to Lima. On arrival, transfer to your hotel where you will spend one night.
Day 2 Lima to Sacred Valley Return to the airport for your flight to Cuzco then travel to the Sacred Valley where you will stay two nights at Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa Valle Sagrado. En route to the Sacred Valley, visit the Sacsayhuamán Fortress which overlooks Cuzco.
Day 3 Machu Picchu Following breakfast, visit the Incan town and ancient fortress of Ollantaytambo. Continue on to Machu Picchu on the Hiram Bingham train where a savoury brunch will be served. Take some time to explore the citadel, wandering among the ruins and heading up to a view point which overlooks the once powerful city. Enjoy tea at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge before returning to the Sacred Valley by train.
Day 4 Sacred Valley to Lima Transfer to Cuzco for a short tour before heading to the airport for your return flight to Lima. On arrival, board the MS Roald Amundsen, your home for the next seven nights.

Following disembarkation, transfer to Santiago airport for your overnight flight to the UK.
