We went for our 11th wedding anniversary, and WOW, what an amazing experience! From arriving to checking out, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The suppers with wine pairing is a MUST, some of the best wines we have ever tasted, and this from their own winery! You MUST try their MCC sparkling wine. most definitely the BEST!!!!
Beautiful place, beautiful food, beautiful people
We spent two nights at Mimosa and it was really lovely. Big and comfortable rooms, with everything that you might need, a lovely garden with many plants, herbs, flowers, birds, palm trees etc. A small but really lovely pool in midst of the wonderful garden. Very nice breakfast. Really kind staff. It was the first "birthday" of my fathers death, and it was very important for my mum and myself to visit the nearby church, and the kind lady at reception (sorry for not remembering your name) really helped us in that matter. Also on the first evening, we had dinner in the garden, and were the only persons having dinner there, it was so peaceful and so perfectly right for remembering my dad. It was the best evening we could have wished for in those circumtances, in a very beautiful and peaceful eveniroment, with great food and great vine. Everybody we met at Mimosa Lodge is very kind and we felt welcome at all times. Thanks a lot Bernhard, Bernie, the wonderful lady who served us in the restaurant and is 5 months pregnant, the very kind older lady at reception who helped us with the church visit, the really lovely and kind ladies who made sure that our rooms were so clean and nicely serviced (I feel bad I dont know your names, but that doesnt mean that I dont appreciate less what you made for us), Jan, the very nice young man at breakfast,, and everybody else at Mimosa Lodge. We came without many expectations, and with many fears, because of the difficult "birthday". We couldnt have wished for a better place to remember my dad.
1 night stay
Stayed overnight in Mimosa Lodge on route from Capetown to Garden Route. Staff were professional. Room and place need a little TLC: it felt a little tired. Breakfast was good. Did not eat at the restaurant.
standard location in a small town
friendly staff ; rooms are average though spacious ; small pool under trees so lot of leaves in it ; breakfast in nicely furnished restaurant with standard choice of bread, cheese, muesli, etc. ; OK for one night
On arrival we where warmly welcomed,as it is winter a decanter of cherry in the room was a nice surprise . The room is surprisingly large, as well as bath room, they where very tastefully done. Out side on the stoop we had a table and chair where won can have tea while looking at the garden. Breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from, like all ways food from the chef is excellent
