A stunning property right in the heart of Franschhoek
This property is absolutely stunning! In particular, it has an excellent pool area. The staff were outstanding and couldn't be more friendly. The location is perfect as there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance with a shuttle service to take you further if required. Breakfast was included and was totally worth it!
we enjoyed our stay very match. Everything was good exept the lady on the reception said to us 20 times in 1 minute "Mr.and miss Bitterli"!! It was too mutch, we could't hear it again! But this was realy the only thing, that bothered us. The rest was super!
I have been a travel consultant for 12 years and have been lucky enough to stay in some incredible hotels and resorts around the world, but Leeu House was, in a word special! From the moment we arrived and the porters took our car to be parked and our bags were seamlessly whisked away to our rooms we knew we were in for a treat. As with properties like this, the photos do it no justice, it is not just about the incredibly tasteful decor, the standards of food and beverages but the feeling of the experience itself! The one word I would use to describe the experience of staying at Leeu house and visiting Leeu estates would be CLASS. Lesley, who checked us in immediately helped us to cancel a reservation (which we were too late for due to traffic) and effortless arranged our lunch at Le Chene on the Leeu estate, with complimentary wine tasting and transport included (which guests can avail of, within 10kms of the hotel) The rooms are well appointed with a heavenly bed and all the creature comforts you would expect from a property of this calibre. The lush landscaped gardens and pool area make for a beautiful setting to really relax and unwind for a few nights while Leeu Estate and vineyard would easily rival local favourite Mont Rochelle which I had stayed at previous... I will be highly recommending Leeu House and Leeu estate to my business class clients and should anyone else reading this have second thoughts, life is too short to not stay here if it is within your budget. Outstanding!
We stayed there for two nights 3rd and 4th November. What a charming boutique hotel. We were greeted very warmly on arrival and check in was easy. There is no hotel car park, but our luggage was unloaded and our car taken away and stored securely. The room was beautifully appointed as was the bathroom. The gardens were beautifully manicured and very peaceful considering you are right on the edge of town. A great place to relax after a busy day on the wine tram! For breakfast there was a small but lovely buffet, plus a choice of hot food freshly cooked to order. There was a light menu available all day, but if you wanted a full meal then you only had to step outside and wonder down the Main Street where restaurants were plentiful. Would I recommend this hotel - yes I would.
Charming place. Perfect service.
A hidden gem behind the frontyard and the facade of this Dutch style house. Super comfortable bedroom, great pool garden. Caring staff members. And beautiful artworks all over the place, including the dogs on the bedside table !
