Fabulous Experience

We traveled a long way from California and Marataba did not disappoint. Plenty of food and plenty of hospitality. The room was wonderful including the view. We spent four fabulous nights at the lodge. The daily trail rides with our guide Robyn were spectacular. Robyn made the experience better with her knowledge and ability to communicate. If it wasn't 10,000 miles from home, we'd revisit regularly.

Best experience ever

OMG! We just had the best time ever. Our guides Kim and intern James were passionate and showed us so many wonderful and amazing animals., big and small, flying, swimming, walking… The staff at the lodge was attentive, friendly and caring. We couldn’t have asked for more and neither imagined more. They took care of everything no matter how small of the detail. Our child loved the staff and the kids activities. We’ll definitely visit again. Thank you so so much.

Truly Exceptional - from Start to Finish

This trip was a celebration for our son's 7th birthday and it got delayed a few times due to Covid. Nathalie de Lange was exceptional in helping us getting the booking made and managing all the changes - she is the best! Everyone at the lodge did everything they could to make our visit a memorable one - nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very special. Jason (our field guide) was superb and was genuinely committed to making sure we had a educational and fun time. It's not easy keeping a 8 and 7 year-old engaged and enthralled during a 4-hour game drive but he did a great job. Overall, it was truly exceptional and created memories that we will never forget.

Best Kid Safari in Africa

Marataba is the ultimate Safari location for families with Children. Normally lodges that are kid friendly - directly translates to you (as parents) having to sacrifice on the experience - but Rob and his team at More family collection have created a special environment to ensure people of all ages feel the magic of Marataba. The staff, food, kids activities, spa and wildlife experiences are world class. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so memorable! Cant wait to return

Amazing family Holiday in a top safari Lodge !

We had an awesome time during Lockdown. We were happy to get away to a local safari camp and chose Marataba. . The food was amazing ,the service incredible and our guide exceptional. The view of the mountain are just beautiful and the landscape is lovely. They have a barge on the river, which gave another experience to our game viewing. Loved every part of our stay.
