Little peace of heaven

Garonga is one of the most beautiful safari camps we have ever come across. From the exceptional service, luxury accommodation and brilliant game drives and sightings. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone wanting to step away from the hustle and bustle of city life to relax, be pampered and enjoy the beauty the bush has to offer.

Must Visit!

Where to begin! Our experience at Garonga was incredible. The team made sure to follow all COVID protocols but did so in a way where our experience still felt very "normal". Garonga's facilities are very pleasant (the new MCH camp looks incredible!!), but their staff is what really makes the stay special. We were fortunate to have Josiah as our guide, and Glandstone as our tracker. These two were some of the most fun and genuine people we have ever come across when traveling. They were incredibly knowledgeable and always seemed to place us in the best location possible to see so many animals. The entire staff is welcoming, attentive, and pleasant to be around. We would recommend taking advantage of their current deals (it's very easy to travel to SA in spite of COVID protocols/what you may read). We can't wait to go back to Gargona.

A superb owner run game lodge for the discerning

Despite the pandemic, business was ' as usual' during our short stay at Garonga. Fantastically appointed rooms, smiling staff and incredible food make this owner run lodge definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended

Dream location

Absolute dream location for a private safari. Garonga is a small, luxurious camp that provides an intimate and personal safari experience. Guests can expect impeccable levels of service and delicious food. We were there for our honeymoon in 2011, will be back one day with kids.

Comfortable, Friendly, and educational

My travel agent highly recommended booked the Garonga for me. My room was clean comfortable and modern glamping. The food was good and the other guests were very interesting and friendly. The pool was a comfortable place during the heat of the day. The highlight however was the game viewing. Sophie Barrett was very knowledgeable, interesting/entertaining and capable of locating the most interesting animals.
