Beautiful hotel, excellent service and amazing food

We stayed at The Old Rectory as part of our honeymoon. The room was spacious with really nice linen and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great pressure and there were luxury bath products. There was a fantastic breakfast selection from fruit platters to baked treats to egg dishes. The staff were all friendly and full of helpful suggestions of what to do and where to eat. The beach is in walking distance and we saw so many whales and dolphins. We had such a great time!

The Old Rectory oozes charm and elegance!

From the moment you step inside, you feel as though you’ve been transported back in time to glamorous beach holidays of yore! The rooms are plush and fully loaded, attention is paid to every small detail and the staff is wonderful! The pool will lure you to linger on sunbeds long after your al fresco brekkie, and with so many private nooks and “hideaways” scattered throughout the property you really don’t need to wander down to the beach to stay entertained! But def wander into their spa - pure bliss! And make a booking for dinner at their in-house restaurant - you won’t regret it! All in all, a perfect stay! Thank you!

Very relaxing

This was our third stop on our itinerary and it was very relaxing. We stayed for 2 nights, unfortunately the weather wasn't too good so we were unable to use the lovely pool area. Our room was beautiful with a huge shower and a great little terrace. We ate at the hotel on both nights ,the food was delicious and all the staff so friendly. It was great to be so close to the beach for a walk and a drink.

nice place

a lovely hotel.....right by the beach.....as ever - great friendly staff.....willing to do anything for their guests....spacious rooms......i would have given it one more star rating but sadly their next door neighbours alarm went off....at 2.30am....for 4 hours......they moved us so we could try and get some sleep...... now about plettenberg bay......for me? kind of sub bournemouth but with surfing! some okay restaurants on the beach.......nice sand.......oh yes....and watch out for the ever present power cuts .........

Rercent Visit

A beautiful hotel very close to the beach. The service was excellent everyone was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very good I would recommend the pannacotta its delicious and the breakfast was extremely good too.
