What a great little oasis Rosenhof is. Lovely rooms in courtyard garden setting, beautiful outside seating areas and comfortable and interesting public rooms set within in the historical house. Great breakfast and dining.
Perfectly located 5 star relaxing hotel. The suite bedrooms are very large and luxurious. The food in the restaurant was Michelin star. The staff were very helpful and polite. One to come back to, a must to visit the amazing Swartberg Mountains and the Meerkats
We stayed here for 2 nights on our tour along the Garden Route. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived and were given a lovely cold drink, which was much appreciated as the outside temperature was 43 degrees. Our room was situated around the courtyard and was fantastic. Breakfast was served outside, under a canopy which protected us from the intense morning sun. The choice was excellent and the food fantastic. We also had our evening meal in the restaurant on our first night and again the choice and quality of food was fantastic. The town itself really doesn’t have much to offer and we were advised that there was no local taxi firm, if you were thinking of going into town at night for a change. However, a good tip, if you do fancy a change of venue for an evening meal, check them out on the internet and then give them a ring as the one we contacted offered to come and pick us up and return us to the Rosenhof after the meal, which they did. There is a beautiful pool area which is a real oasis of calm. All in all a beautiful place stay and would recommend it unreservedly.
Beautiful hotel with amazing service
Stayed in a suite with pool and was fantastic room with so much space inside and out. Service generally was off a very high standard, room service, bar and restaurants. Had dinner in the hotel and it was a beautiful meal in great dining room, breakfast was also outstanding, sad to leave!
My wife and I spent two nights here as part of a three week tour of the Capes. The town itself is unremarkable but we really enjoyed the dawn visit to see the meerkats plus the Ostrich Farm and the Caves. Others have referred to Rosenhof as an Oasis. We would certainly agree with that - gorgeous chalets, exceptional service and an excellent restaurant. We were very impressed with breakfast and the set menu dinner was gorgeous. Our first night had been spent in a local restaurant which was very average. Top tip - eat at Rosenhof every night for the same price but so much better quality.
