Sentimental revisit didnt disappoint
We came here with friends in 2008 always wanted to comeback as it was so lovely. It was as if we never left. We were offered the same same room as a complimentary upgrade because we had been here before. Nothing was too much trouble .The service, staff, absolutely first class. We were treated like royalty. Bani needs special mention as he looked after everything for us. Dining here is a fablous experience too. Everyone dines together in a very convivial atmosphere . Superb wine list and the food is just wonderful. Loved the attention to detail and the geniune interest that all staff showed in their guests. This place has to be on your bucket list when driving the N2 on the Garden Route.
We had a wonderful stay in this lodge, myself my husband and son. It is a very friendly well run and makes you feel at home from the minute you arrive. The decor is also worth a mention as it has a colonial feel and is very homely. Very friendly staff !
Perfect hosts. Luxury with friendly staff
We are lucky enough to stay at this beautiful hotel which has lovely chalets with self contained rooms, large and luxurious bathrooms and lovely grounds. It is the perfect place to rest with fabulous food and credit for the staff in particular for their friendly and helpful service. Its very deserving of 5 stars.
A happy 20 hours at the Lodge.
Wonderful attention to detail in the furnishings and choice of decor but with a homely atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive but discreetly so. A slight drawback is the proximity to the N2.
Best hotel we ever stayed at in South Africa!
There are but superlatives to describe the Lairds Lodge! Situated in a wonderful garden, the Lodge offers a charmingly decorated lobby and restaurant and very beautiful rooms. We received a warm welcome from Dorry and she explained everthing necessary to know while we were sipping a complimentary drink. The rooms are spacious, also the bathrooms, and the beds are very comfortable. From your room you have access to a garden and a pool. We spent two absolutely quiet and peaceful nights there. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant the first evening and my wife and our two friends told me it was excellent, me having only a bowl of water and a cup of tea because of an acutely upset digestion. They have a good selection of excellent MCCs and wines. We enjoyed breakfast outside and were greeted very friendly by the hotel's owner Les. The hotel is still owned by the same family since its foundation. There is absolutely nothing I could critisize at the Lairds Lodge, I hope we may be able to go there again!
